When i switch my camera on there is nothing to see on the lcd screen my camera is a fuji f710

Always check the batteries first but if is it still giving the same fault, your camera is faulty.
It should be taken to an authorized repair centre for a repair estimate. Very few digital cameras have any user-serviceable parts.

Power up and turns off
Replace with high power Lithium Battery or fully loaded rechargeable ones (min 2000 mA) and switch on the camera at around 23 C degrees.

If you take a picture are the pictures affected? If they are then the CCD has probably failed. If not then the LCD is damaged and needs replacing.

i think the settings on the exposure or apparture have been modified

reset the camera to factory defaults once to check this and you can have the photos back in order

Fuji Finepix F710 not charging
The problem of yours,is the battery is need to change a new one.That's is the symptom of the battery is near to "run out"it cannot stored the charge,it will automatically discharge,when you pull out the charger connection...

Fuji Finepix xd Card.
1) use the format option to get the card ready for your camera.
2) If that fails, the camera may need to go to Fuji for a firmware upgrade (assuming your new card is type H or M card). I don't believe the upgrade is performable by the user.

F710 turn off
THIS MAY NOT SOILVE THE PROBLEM ... BUT MAY DELAY YOUR CAMERA GOING TO THE "OFF" MODE. TURN CAMERA ON AND HIT "MENU" ... SCROLL DOWN TO "SET-UP" THEN SCROLL TO "LCD POWER SAVE" SWITCH IT TO "OFF". I HAVE A FUJI 650 AND I LOVE IT ... THATS HOW I GOT MINE TO STOP SHUTTING DOWN BETWEEN SHOTS.
