Hello this happened to mine what i did was switch it off at the switch then unpug it from the wall and leave for 10 to 15 minutes then switch it back on tv was ok i hope this help's

It turns out that the number of red lights flashing, relates to a partiuclar error problem. My TV was flashing 4 red lights, pausing , then flashing again etc etc. This particular error meant that one of the five fans within the TV box had stopped funtioning. So the TV has gone to the repairman today. I was advised by an operator at the SONY STYLE CENTRE that such a repair would be considered as a genuine fault and that SONY would pick up the tab. I live in hope
