The instruction manual defines E4 as "overfilled", a possible reason being too much inlet water. What helped with our machine - removed all dishes inside, then let the machine's pump run briefly to make sure as much water was drained from the system as possible. I then unplugged the device, placed a large towel on the floor around its base, and tilted the machine front-ward, until all water had run out. Lifted the machine back upright, plugged it in, switched on - and voilà! it's working as I speak.

How do I fix my dishwasher it is Glem and is showing E4

I found this. All the errors are generic to all models

Hi I'm a kenwood engineer
E4 means that the flood sensor located in the sump of the machine has got wet!
It only should get wet if the machine is leaking somewhere.
The sensor is designed to switch off the machine if triggered... To save flooding your kitchen!
Very good idea really - as most machines don't have this feature and flood the floor until the cycle is finished.
Yes you need to tilt the machine back to drain the water from the sump first.... Then look for your leak. The leak cud be on any hose or water pump... Or the seal under the filter chamber. Once leak fixed and water drained/dry
E4 should clear. Make sure machine is empty and unplugged before messing! :)

and can also be drain error

My candy CDI45 is not working, it just keeps beeping and saying E2. Any tips on getting it working again would make me a happy lady again.

Hi.

E2 is called water safety level error. Unfortunately the problem is often caused by either a defective pressure switch or by a defective control board. The problem is quite common in SMEG built dishwashers like your Candy.

All you can do is disconnecting power for a couple of minutes, by either tripping circuit breaker or disconnecting power cord. That will reset control module. While power is off remove water (if any) from the bottom of the appliance.

If that does not do the job the parts must be tested and the appliance must be repaired replacing defective part.

Regards.

Dishwasher has been stored for a few months, we have just connected it back up and switched and error code E4 has come up. What does this mean and how to I rectify it?

E4 means that the dishwasher has a problem with discharging water. Check that the discharge tube is not bent and the siphon is not blocked and the filters are not blocked. Depending on how you stored the dishwasher, check for evidence of rodents or insects building nests in the unit.

The manual for the HD97 is available from Hoover at http://service.hoover.co.uk/manuals/Manuals.aspx?Section=3 . Enter the model number and the link will come up. The manual for the free-standing version does not seem to be available separately.

I hope this helps.

I have e4 showing

E4 error indicate an abnormal water level which means too much inlet water (E5 also is refer at this fault).

I quote other comments/solution about this same error:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had the e4 error code and i took the outer panel off and inside behind the power button is a grey reservoir tank which measures the water that goes inside the dishwasher which actually got bunged up with **** and grease causing the floaty thing to get jammed and cause the e4 code to come on which means abnormal water level the top to the reservoir just unclips on both sides then just clean all the gooey stuff out and put it back together it worked for me.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good luck.

What does E4 flashing mean?

E4 means that it is not able to discharge water.

Make sure all water is pumped out of the machine. Switch it off at the wall and unplug. Tilt the machine forward (put a towel down first) all the way till the door is on the floor, and let the rest of the water run out. Return upright.

Hope helps.

My dishwasher says E4

Hi,

The error code E4 means selector switch pads is stuck.
First try a hard reset. Unplug the unit for 10 minutes and then switch on the dishwasher. Most cases you won't get the error message.
If you still get the error message then you need to take to service center to get it repaired. Mostly, the inner connectivity between the pad and circuit board is loose/bad.

Hope this helps.

Error code E4 is on our display of our KDW243A dishwasher - what does this mean please?

Error code E4 means there is an overflow. Water is probably trapped. If you get error code E4, just tilt the machine back about 45 degrees and let the water drain out. It should come out on both sides. Then, you should be good to go.

I have a Candy dishwasher. Door is open switch on sounds like something (possibly pump) is running and error E4 shown on diaplay. Any ideas please?

Overflow tray (bottom dishwasher). Tilt your dishwasher, pour water and see the reason for the overflow. I blew off the top hose from the pump.

Idw604 error code e4

had same problem. Tilt dishwasher to the left and drain all the water (it will come out on the side). That's E4 solved. Now turn it on, E4 should not light up. If it does, turn it on and as soon as u do this, close the door. This won't activate the Trip Switch but will automatically turn the pump on. Good luck!
