My C700 laptop built in keypad doesnt work properly. Other letters generate when i press a certain keypad. For example when i press the letter "m" the number "0" comes out. I suspect the problem started ever since i installed the wireless CD R king keyboard. It's "plug and play" and i find it hard to uninstall it since its not in the add remove programs. It also doesnt uninstall through the control panel. On the other hand, im not sure if its a virus since i dont have a antivirus program, but i dont have any suspicious file and my laptop isnt that slow. What should i do?

You have to press 2 keys for each letter. Example - Bob - Press the letter B then press 2, next press O then press 3, next press B then press 2. The number key tells which letter out of the 3 letters that you want to use.
HP laptops have the ability to lock the blue special function keys on, making numerical data entry easier on laptop models that do not have the room for dedicated numerical keypads. Because the key combination to lock the function keys is so simple, however, it is easy for those who wouldn't normally use this ability to do so accidentally. When the function keys are locked, pressing certain keys will result in numbers being typed rather than letters. Unlock the function keys to alleviate this issue.
Press the "Fn" and "Num Lk" keys on the keyboard simultaneously. The "Number Lock" indicator light should turn off, indicating that the letter keys will once again type letters when pressed. This combination should work on the majority of recent HP laptops. If it does not, try one of the alternate key combinations in this article's remaining steps. Press the "Fn" and "F11" keys simultaneously, then attempt to type a letter. If the combination does not work, continue to the next step. Press the "Fn" and "Scroll Lock" keys simultaneously, then attempt to type a letter. Continue to the next step if this does not work. Press the "Fn," "Scroll Lock" and "F11" keys simultaneously.
Hello there,
Did you check the keypad for alternate keys.
For example net books, the number keys on the right side has an alter key on the some letters like the image below. when you accidentally press the [Fn] key, Numbers are written instead of letters..
that is the keypad for a keyboard to get back those letter you will need to press the Fn button and on the top of the keyboard where there is a list of F button press the one that looks like a keyboard. if that doesnt work try Fn and num lock
You should be able to turn off the built in numeric keypad by pressing the fn key and the num lk simultaneously. The num lk is directly above the +/= key. If after doing this you still find you only momentarily turn off the numeric keyboard then there is another underlying issue. At that point you should take your unit to your area HP repair center.
