My usb cable won't allow me to install my camera . I put the usb cable into the computer. It comes up with saying found a new hardware but an unknown device. Windows found the drive but your device encountered an error while attempting to download it. help.

Pl. connect a fresh usb cable to the usb socket found at back side of the pc. Check new hardware found at hardware-device manager/Re-install the driver.

Did you try leaving the camera connected to the usb port and restarting your computer? At startup windows should detect it. Do you have the software that came with the camera installed? Or maybe search for updated software from the camera manufacturers website.

take the driver back out. restart the computer dose it say new hardware found. if not check if cable is properly connected. or plug it in another usb port. then reinstall driver..
There is also free software hardwre identifier it checks all the hardware on your computer see if that can see your camera. GOOD LUCK

Find the Jvc GR dvx 507 installer in the internet then install it in the computer . go to Start choose add new hardware the choose the Diogital cameras. when choosing the installer , look at the downloads file and choose the files that came from the internet.

If you want to download the pictures on your camera, try plugging it into the usb port of your computer using the usb cable. Then turn on the camera and make sure it is set to REVIEW MODE. Usually, this opens the sofware. It not, then, on your computer, click Start button >> All Programs >> Accessories and choose Scanners and Cameras. It will open up the window which will show the pictures and from there, follow the steps to download them.

Turn off your computer. Turn off the printer and disconnect the usb cable. Turn on the computer allow it to boot up fully. turn on the printer, then plug the USB cable into it. The computer will soon say 'found new hardware' Give it a minute and the computer will have recognized your printer again. Make sure your 7420 is set as the default printer.

After you delete very thing you have installed on your computer that has anything to do with your camera,
Download this and don't have your camera plug into your computer then install this it works....

* Turn on your computer or reboot.(this ensures consistent starting point)
* Connect your camera to the PC using USB 1.1 cable.
* When the found new hardware window opens install drivers automatically.
* * the found new hardware window may open up more than once. If so then click install drivers automatically for each time it opens up.
* Double click the "PCCam" shortcut in your "All Programs" menu and follow directions.



If this does does not work ...

* Check to make sure the USB port is working properly in device manager.
* Make sure your computer is running a fully updated version of supported Microsoft Windows platform. Check computer properties for version of OS.
* Try having the camera turned on before connecting it to your computer.

If you're plugging the camera into a port on the front of your computer try one of the ports on the back. The front ports in most cases only provide 100 milli-amps of power whereas the back ports provide the full 500 milli-amps of power. This could be the problem or it could be your USB cable. Try a different cable and see if that makes a difference. Just make sure that you aren't plugging it into a USB hub and you're connecting it directly to a port in your computer.

did your video camera come with a cd to run on your computer???.......on some things you have to run the cd that comes with it before you are able to hook up your video camera and start uploading videos
