Question about Computers & Internet
This morning my DSL connection was working fine using a 2wire modem/wireless router. This afternoon it quit working. The internet light on the modem doesn't work. I tried resetting the modem by unplugging it for 30 seconds and by pressing the reset button. I have checked all the cables. Still, I can't connect to the internet. The network message in the system tray says I'm connected at 100mbps, but whatever I'm "connected" to at that speed, it's not the internet. Bell Sympatico tech support can't figure out the problem presentl;y. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm using my work computer to access the net. Thanks for your suggestions.
Hmmm...only thing that makes sense here is that your dSL is unhappy...did you check that phone line into the modem? that's what the internet light means when it's out, actually..if its not the line, then it's the modem..
