Depends on the type of gear box,auto,s have transmission fluid ,manual gearboxes have differant grades of oil,check your hand book under spec,s.in the back.

Laptops have built-in graphics card on the motherboard and cannot be replaced with a different graphic card.
You can upgrade the RAM to 4 Gb and install a larger SATA hard drive.

I would look on ebay for a smashed one first.
or one with a malfunctioning screen. When I did an e-bay search for your model It came back with 509 results. The bottom link is a repair specialist for that kind of notebook.

I Buy toshibas with this fault for my family and send them to a nice bloke (ex toshiba Tech ) who fixes them fo £45 I can get a good working lappy for 75 - 80 quid

I might have an owner's manual in pdf format but it's on floppy. I'll be working on my broken Tecra 730XCDT which means transferring data from the hard drive. The manual should be in those files too. I'll contact you and send you a copy. Bear with me for a few days on this.

You need to check that on the momery installed on your computer or if you can find the brand and model of your motherboard(mobo) you can find what memory you need by going to the manual of the mobo (you can go to the mobo's website and check the manual, it will list the compatible memory module fo your mobo).
