Question about Casio Exilim EXZ75 Digital Camera
My daughter bought a casio EX-Z75 camera five months ago and used it twice. Now the LCD screen appears broken. The camera case and glass are perfect but on the screen it looks like a crack? on the right side of the screen in line with the left edge of the battery. Everything is white for the left four-fifths of the screen. She says she did not drop or bump the camera. Is this a warranty issue?
The LCD to my Casio Exilim EX-Z75 is also cracked, and now when the camera is on, the LCD displays 9/10ths of white. It stills takes pictures fine and they download with no problem, but I can not see what I am shooting, nor see the photo after the shot has been taken.
How much do new LCDs run for? It does not seem that difficult to replace myself....am I wrong?
Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
I have worked on many Z75 cameras...the lcd is easily replaced...after the 3rd or 4th time. Casio will not honor any issue with the lcd if it is cracked because they will say it was caused by something they do not cover...abuse.
You can buy a broken one off EBAY...just make sure the lcd is not the part damaged. There are several sites that explain how to replace the lcd if you want to try it yourself.
