Slide a foot ruler or any metallic strip between the drivers window glass and the outer door wall somewhere above the place where the lock is. If you hear a click sound you have opened the door lock. I have seen cops do it while towing away wrongly parked cars in LA.

How do I get the trunk open on my 1995 bmw 318i? the key turns but it just clicks. there is no opener inside the car.

Just a thought, if you remove rear seat back, can you access the trunk? Some makes and models, you can access the trunk, that way. I'm not sure about your vehicle? Some makes and models have an emergency release handle in the trunk?

My key want opening the trunk of a 1995 bmw 318i is it a button to opening from the inside

IIRC, there is a trunk release in the glove box, or check by the gas cap cover release on the floor to the left of the driver's seat.

12/6/2010 2003 bmw 325xi: Key does not manually lock/unlock driver door...but still works in ignition and trunk...central locking system still works to lock/unlock all doors(including driver) from...

If the key turns in the lock, but does nothing, then the linkage has become disconnected or broken. The key is mechanical to the lock and the lock has a electrical switch to operate the central locking unit. Could be a simple broken clip from the lock barrel. Hope this helps

Trunk locking/unlocking system not working. Cant get into trunk

if you have a newer 07 and on, there is a lock cylinder near the trunk grab handle. you will have to kneel down to be able to see it. the mechanical key thats inside the remote will have to be used. a spare/valet key wont work. support your local bmw dealership
