Epson Stylus CX6000 inkjet printer. Problem: Print head assembly jammed while traveling from left to right. Now it won't move, so can't print. I'm handy, can I do something? Or do I need a service center?

Hello there
You may not see a paper jam.

This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

My epson stylus cx6000 has stopped printing black. I've cleaned the print head, changed the cartridge and it still won't print black. What else can I do?

Be sure you are using genuine epson ink. Epson printers are "smart" and will not allow generic ink to work properly. Even after you replace a generic with a genuine it may take several print outs and alignments to get it to print again.

Head won't move far enough to the left to get cartridges out

seems a case of carriage jam n needs servicing..
howevr, do it if ur printer is out of warranty and u r a professional..
check for loose/faulty carriage-belt and the drive-assembly..jammed/sticky cleanser-unit (esp the rubber, gears n base)..
also chance of defective/faulty photo/opto-coupler 'sensor(s)'..the diodes and resistors in dis section..
always better to hv professional supervision, contact ur system admin/vendor....

Print head on Epson CX6000 stuck on the right side.

Obviously, something is preventing the print head from moving. Turn th printer off and try checking for obstructions inside or any foreign material. If it does the same thing when you turn it on then you might want to have your printer checked by a technician or you can contact Epson tech support for warranty options.

Epson stylus c84 inkjet printer

I don't know if this will help but your problem sounds like one I had with a C82 model. On the right side of the printer below where the print head rests is a small plastic suction tube. This tube can become disconnected and will prevent the printer from printing. Check to see if this is your problem. In the picture the red circle shows where the tube connects and the yellow shows the tube.

Epson Stylus CX6400 not printing

The head assembly is attached to a photo sensor that tells the printer when it is at the ends of its travel.

Sounds like this mechanism is not working properly.
Check to make sure thare is no obstructions or dirt in the paths at the ends of the print head travel.

You can use an air gun to clean the printer (JUST KEEP IT AWAY FROM THE PRINTER CARTRIDGES) as the ink will FLY EVERYWHERE.....
