My N95 was switched on earlier today left on my desk at work. Came back to it to check for messages and it had switched itself off. It won't turn back on, and if you connect it to a charger it doesn't charge. If it knackered (if so I need to get in contact with 3 as it is only 3 months old!), or is there some way to reset it?

Sounds like you have described this fault. 43.(00101011) Phase 1 to 6 - OOB Switch Fault
The Motor Control Module has found that the signal returning from the out of balance switch indicates that the switch is permanently on or the harness to it is disconnected.
1.Check that the out of balance switch is free to move.
2.Check that no harnesses are blocking switch movement.
3.Check that the switch operates correctly when activated. Replace the switch if suspect. 4.If the out of balance micro switch shows signs of corrosion, replace the switch and switch harness, and fit a condensation kit to the console area if not incorporated in the top deck.
5.Check that the SmartDrive is level and also that the bias spring is in place.
Check the harness to the out of balance switch is connected correctly. The terminals should be connected to the normally closed position. If the harness terminals show signs of corrosion, then fit a new harness and switch. The switch is located under the main computer. To get it out first unplug machine from the wall, then you will see two screws on the top back of display console take them out and remove console. Now you should see the main computer dissconect and remove, once out you can now get at the out of balance switch. Carefully remove it by pushing the tabs back one at a time again be very careful here as the tabs can break very easily. Once off unplug it from the wiring loom and then source yourself a new one.
All I can say is a HARD RESET will solve your problems(and eventually all your problems)! First backup the important stuff like the contacts, messages, apps, etc. using the Nokia Content Copier available from the Nokia PC Suite. Then switch off your phone. Now, press and hold the ' * - Star', '3', & 'Call - The Green key that you use to recieve a call' together and switch on your phone. Keep the above mentioned keys pressed till you see the "Select Region" screen.
when a nokia n95 switches off and on, all you have to do is put a sim that doesnt work anymore then you have to switch the n95 on and wait for 30 minutes, then the n95 will stop from on and off, the laguage will be set to france mode..
looks like you have turned ON the dictionary, switch it off. while you are in the create message folder keep pressing # key until you see "abc" or 'ABC' on the top left corner of your display. this would mean your dictionary is off
