Question about RCA F36650 36" TV

ID component I have an RCA F36650 TV with a burned out component looks to be a hi-watt resistor labeled A/R76 MKP 0186 1600 P8 02MHP22 also has 3.5 stamped on top. Can you ID R76 for me? An dwhere can I order it? thx. joe

If it is a high wattage resistor and it is burned, chances are you have more than that wrong with the set. Resistors rarely fail unless something else shorts and draws excessive current through it.

Need r 114 u resistor


I have the schematics for this TV but the only resistor I see is label as R4114 and its value is 10K ohms, 5% 3 watts.
I could send you the schematics.

Chances are you have a bad flyback and two bad electrolytic caps and a retrace cap gone bad. At its best you may have bad grounds under the H.O.T. And that would be under this transistor next to the 100 ohm half watt resistor a coil.Unsolder this coil clean the board contact and replace this coil!

RCA 52130 won't turn on


check for bad connections on the flyback transformer

if they are bad you will see cracks in the solder

try resistor again

TV turns self off during watching, also has darkened picture.


Do a hard reset to the unit, unplug the unit for at least 2 hrs and then turn it back on it should work fine.

Confirm service # from back of set = F36650 YX01..........
Transformer red HV lead attaches to CRT & Horiz output
xistor is on heatsink next to transformer = 2SC5148 .........
Rca part # 257805 or ASTI 2078 and 237470 xistor............
Do not use a generic transistor = name brand only............T.

Not a problem just looking for advice


There are no two TV's alike as far as alignment go. If you are talking just about controls like color,tint,brightness and picture. Those are based on what you see as a normal picture.
