Question about Nokia Consumer Headset

1 Answer

Nokia cellphone 6085

The mini display on the cover is in a small font and blue on blue color making it very hard to read. I have raised the font size but it only does the main display. any idea how to fix that? Great phone otherwise.

Enlarge text size

Create Menu tab right click in the top of screen (toolbar) you will see a number of toolbar options select the menu bar
This will add to your screen toolbar File Edit View Favorites Tools and Help select the View from the drop down list will be a Zoom with percentages % and text sizes largest to smallest and Full screen option
Increase the Font Size in Email
Email font size is easily controlled while composing messages, but the messages you receive have been sized by the sender.
Some contacts may be perfectly comfortable writing in size 8, but such text can be a strain on the eyes, even with good reading glasses.
The printed hard copies of email messages with small text are even more difficult to read.
There are a few ways to quickly change font size for ease of reading and better quality print-outs.

Open an email message with particularly small text. Increase the email font size of the text using step 2, 3 or 4.
Click on the "View" selection from the menu bar.
Roll the mouse pointer over the "Zoom" choice.
Click on one of the choices that is greater than 100 percent.
Click "View" and cover "Zoom" to make a larger choice if the first choice does not increase the text size sufficiently.

Click the "View" option on the menu bar. Roll the cursor over the "Text Size" selection.
Choose one of the options that will increase the text size.
For instance, if the current size marked with the dot is "Medium," then click "Larger" or "Largest" to make the print appear bigger.

Use a mouse with a wheel to increase the email font size.
Press and hold the "Ctrl" key while rolling the wheel on the mouse.
The text will shrink as you roll in one direction, and grow bigger as you roll in the other.

Change font size before printing.
Click the "File" option on the menu bar.
Click "Print Preview."
Click the "Size" drop down which may display "100%," or "Shrink to fit."
Select a choice greater than 100 percent to increase text size.
Click the "Print" button to view the results on a hard copy.

Want font larger (currently very small) and in white color (current color is blue) when phone is closed (NOKIA 6085)

The only thing you can change is the screen saver for the "mini display" - Settings, Mini Display, Screen Saver, then choose "Digital Clock" - when the screen saver kicks in you'll see the time in nice large numbers.

The mini display is monochrome so you can't change the color.

Cant hardly read the screen the printing is so small and a little fuzzy

Change the display font size. In Win 7, right click on the desktop and choose Screen Resolution then choose make Text and other items larger or smaller. This brings up Windows Appearance and Personalization > Display (small, medium, large buttons). With Win7, you can also turn on Clear Type for LCD displays.

The earlier versions of Windows have the same display font option but it may be a subset of the Accessibility Control Panel. Macs probably have a similar control in the OS.

I hope this helps.

If its a new photo have it ready to pick up on your desktop, unless its easy to find in your system

Open messenger window.
Left click on your avatar picture
Select "display image"
Select "share my picture"
Select "select"
Select a random picture from the gallery - by clicking on it - ( to make sure it changes & your Flashplayer is ok )
Select the picture you want to display, if its not one in the gallery, click "browse" and find the photo you want - double click on it, make sure its in the display panel. Note sometimes the image will be blacked-out. This will either be a flashplayer problem or the file you selected the photo from has numbers or / ., etc - you can try renaming the file.
Click "OK" in top photo panel
Make sure "share my picture" is still selected
Click "OK"

When you open the chat window the display images may be hidden - look for the little "head and shoulder" icon with an arrow pointing to it on the right hand upper side of the window - click on this to show pictures.

Fonts too small

Your instruction manual will tell you. However, there's a "Code" button that has to be pressed at the same time as the "Font" button. (Code button color should match the color of the Font button.) Keep pressing as it cycles through the font sizes (you'll see the arrow move on the screen). When you get to the font size you want, release the buttons and you're good to go!
