Question about Mitsubishi WS-55805 55" Rear Projection Television
I just bought t.v from a friend a few weeks ago. Everything was working fine until yesterday. For some odd reason the picture became as if i was seeing double. so i turned the t.v set off and tried to reboot. And it wouldn't turn on. The green light would appear and there was a weird click'n sound when I pressed the power button. I've asked around several of times and others say it might be the fuse but I need a second opinion. PLEASE HELP IF ANY INFO. THANKS
The clicking noise could be the lamp. It could be bad or just needs to be reseated to the ballast. Take the lamp out and look at the bulb. If it is not clear looking, it is bad and needs replaced. If it looks clear not smoking white, just make sure it is seated correctly to the ballast. After you have reseated the lamp (if it is good) and the ballast is still clicking when you turn on the TV, then your ballast is bad and needs replaced. You may also want to check the color wheel because it too will click if it is broken. Just take the top off the engine beside the lamp and look inside. The color wheel is made of glass and you can see if it is broken. If so it needs to be replaced.
