Amana Front Load Washer Soap Dispenser

My Amana Front Load Washer is great but I use Kirkland HE liquid Detergent with the cup that comes with it. The cup gets really gummy and with the old top load I just tossed it in with the wash. I noted that it would fit in sideways in the soap dispenser. I was told the water flows into the dispenser carrying out the soap with it. I wonder if it would rinse all the soap out of the cup? I don't want to try it unless someone else had first. Anyone?

I suggest you use soap powder for 'front loading washing machines'. The cartons at the market have them specially marked.

Don't use non he detergent in washer dispenser it did mess mine up. But u can try adding a cup of white vinegar into the washer itself when you load it to help cut the oil from the fabric it works when I was pool towels in the summer

Which side of the dispenser does the detergent go?

Hello,
The detergent goes in the front left side, their is a blue cup their if using liquid, pour it into that cup,if using powder detergent remove that cup and the powder goes there. The Bleach would go behind the detergent& and softner would go in the right rear compartment

Laundry Detergent

this usually depends on the type and brand of detergent you use. for example if you use standard detergent and it takes 1 cup, then you use concentrated detergent and it takes 1/2 cup. you have to check the detergent container for proper amount to use. for most detergents it is around 3/4 to 1 cup of detergent.

SOAP DISPENSING

The soap dispenser is intended for both liquid and powder detergents. If you have a problem with mildew, then you may need to clean it occasionally with bleach water.

LG WM2277HS - water backing up into soap dispenser

The pipe from the soap dispenser to the tub is quite large, it seems as if the water isn't getting out of the dispenser quick enough. Pull the whole dispenser out of the machine. There is a release clip at the back of the cup with the tray fully open. Clean out all soap residue and scum. Sometimes there is also a spot or setting for liquid or powder detergent. Adjust accordingly. Reassemble and try it again.

Make sure you are using a liquid or powder detergent made for front loading machines and has the HE symbol on the front. Also use warm water not cold some detergents may not dissolve completly
