Re: power problem with nintendo wii
Lets Hope So ?
Check the main fuse in the 3 Pin plug ( if UK )
replace if blown, also check the wires are tight to the plugs pins.
Is There any light Indication On The power Pack/Brick with These ?
Could be a faulty Power Pack.
Check the leads are firmly connected, quite easy to knock a cable out, with an accidental kick or push of the console et,c.

The power block may have failed. I would try to find a replacement on ebay. First i would to try to contact somebody with a wii console and try there powerblock to determine if it is the power block or the console itself. Good Luck.
I had a similar problem with our Wii, although Im not sure if its the same situation. We didnt use ours for awhile either but I still had it plugged in to the power strip. Unplug it from the power source and leave it unplugged for 5 mins or so. When I plugged it back in it powered on and worked fine. I got this off of nintendos support site, and I included the link here. I hope this helps.. Happy Gaming..
This link is to the support page you need..
Thats the link to the support main page.. Just copy and paste.
if you tried to unplug evrything for about 5 minutes and then plugged the wires back in and the wii does not turn on, try putting a disc in this should power the wii automatically..if all fails, you need to contact nintendo at 1-800-255-3700 so they may take you thru the sequence to correcting the problem....hope this helps....shia
1. push the reset button and if that doesn't work unplug all cords and
memory cards (including sd) from wii and unplug av from the wii and the
outlet in wall. Wait 2-3 min or unplug the wii overnight and The trick i use was to literally smack the power supply
on the ground and plug it back in. It seemed to work for a few weeks, until you buy a new power cord Don't call Nintendo unless you've got some money. it'll be $82 bucks.
