I really do appreciate the quick response and feedback. The only reason it wasn't helpful was that I had already been to that website and I was too dumb to figure it out.

I'm sorry you feel that way about my response. The way this works is if you give more info about your problem, you will get a better answer.

It could be dust and or lint in the tv. The bulb has a fan to cool it and if it is plugged with lint can cause the bulb to overheat and fail. Lint or dust that gets on the bulb can also cause premature failure. Remove bulb and lean fan and intake screen thoroughly and check to make sure fan is operating. Then install new bulb. Hope this helps.

My jvs tv the sound works but no picture someone said the flyback was bad

This is a dlp or digital light projection tv. This set uses a bulb. First check the bulb. The bulb can ussally be removed from the set from the back with a screwdriver. do not touch the bulb front. this set does not have a flyback. 90 percent of the time the bulb will shatter when bad.

I think a bulb is out how would you know?

Look into lamp, you'll see a glass cylinder with a bulb at the bottom. White or black buildup inside means bad bulb. Also the spherical bulb can deform by heat - bad bulb as well.
When you replace a Panasonic bulb you must reset the lamp timer.

Sony Wega KF-42E200A Projection Bulb

New bulb is just fine.
3 blink shows that lamp cover after replacement of bulb in TV is not fixed properly or not seated well in its position.
Put new bulb and carefully place back lamp cover in its position because lamp cover will press tinny safety switch inside that will send signal to system control of TV that lamp is installed properly.
Turn On TV and get vivid picture of Sony.
Thanks.

Samsung DLP model hln617w won't turn on (not bad bulb)

Samsung is notorious for having bad color wheels in their DLPs. Well lets just say they are like toasters, they only last a certain amount of time. If the color wheel isn't spinning or is broken, the set will power down almost immediately after you hit the button, you may not even hear the entire fire up jingle. Check the wheel, if you can see the bulb light up for that split second. Actually, check it whether the bulb lights up or not.

My hitachi 50v720 bulb blew and the replacement doesn't fit

I have a 50V525E and I have the same problem....My bulb is suppose to be a LM500 and I received a P22 Phillips (And I did check their web site and that is the bulb they recommend), and like you said...The 4 little glass tabs will not allow the bulb to sit flat in the housing.....

I am waiting for the vendor to answer my inquiry...But I recommend to anyone ordering a bulb...Ask if it is Phillips, and if it is...stay away.

I have a 55vg825 the fan and bulb light are blinking and after two seconds of sound ( no pic) it turns off except for the blinking lights

you have most likely a bad bulb. bulbs cost are around 160 to 250 . I would have a tv service center confirm for you for you dont waste money on a bulb. But you could remove bulb and check if it is bad. unlpug first in the manual it tells how to do it. It is very easy.

Will not turn on

Holy Smokes!! I sure hope you did not try to connect your multimeter to bulb connections . That is from 1500 to 2500 volts and will smoke your meter for sure .
It sounds likes you may have a power supply issue , but , I would put it on the bench and check for bad capacitors with an ESR meter first . Second look for bad or burnt connections along the high volt wire(note the special insulation used and the wide spacing at the termination)
Sadly some bulbs will not run long out of the box due to the occasional manufacturing problems(impurities?) most have a 90 day warranty . See if you can get the bulb into another set or a service depot might try to light it up in their sets .
Handle with care as these bulbs don't like rough stuff and
DEFINITLY NO FINGERPRINTS or SCRATCHES even on the glass window that may be there in front of bulb proper  .
Also a possible problem may be just a fan not turning as they all
have tachometer wires to feedback the unit . Next make sure no filters are plugged as a over temperature condition may be reached , check the thermal protector for continuity(round metal peice exposed to lamp heat with two wires)
Good air flow is a must as these Ultra High Pressure bulbs generate HEAT .

Good luck
