Dishwasher is getting power but will not let me select a cycle

is it brand new? as they sometmes fit **** plugs into where water hoses connect, if water cant pass then machine will not initiate sequence due to the fail safe system to prevent further damage incurrd by not having water flowing thru machine. also water hose could have just become kinked when you located machine under worktop for instance, if it has two water inlet points make sure you connect supply to both as this is required, it doesnt have to be one hot one cold two cold is sufficient and if you only have connections in kitchen for one pipe you can buy a plastic Y junction turning one pipe into two, these are available at most domestic appliance stores for few pound, you will require two more hose though to connect to Y splitter then to machine, failing that if its not new machine its possible the inlet pump is faulty, if pump doesnt start to pump water in the machine will not allow you to access any programs.

Whirlpool GU 2400 : "clean"

Hi

If clean light is blinking 7 times then it may be an issue with heater circuit, door switch or wash pump. If yes then please reset the power to the dishwasher. After, 5 minutes check if you are still getting the same error. If yes, then it is a water heating fault. To resolve this error try pressing this reset sequence-- Heat Dry - Normal - Heat Dry - Normal or High Temp - Air Dry - High Temp - Air Dry or Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry, Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry. Now let the unit run for 2-3 minutes and then you press the Cancel/Drain button and allow it to completely drain and reset.
If this doesn't work then it's an issue with the wash pump not pumping the water past the heater efficiently or due to lack of water to heat. Please make sure that heater is not open circuited and is heating the water efficiently. You'll have to check the heater using a multimeter; the meter should read between 3000 to 3300 ohms (Use multimeter on Rx1 ohm setting). If heater is fine then make sure water pressure is optimum and fill valve is working fine.

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

The clean light blinks in a pattern of 7 times then off for a second and then 7 times again. The machine won't start any new program. If you press cancel nothing happens.

Does my Bosch SHU3032UC have a heat booster?

The dishwasher has a built in instantaneous water heater, so even if the water feeding the d/w is cold the machine will heat it the the temp required for the cycle you have choosen. Reducing the temp will not effect the wash quality at all, in fact having a lower temp or cold water filling the machine will make the drying cycle at the end of the program more effective.
Hope this helps, please leave feedback.

Wont drain

Should not be any soap at all. If the soap has small shiny bubbles in it you have an oversuds problem which will cause the pump to cavitate during pump out. After setting for while the soap turns into water until the next wash. Easy fix is use 1/2 cup of liquid fabric softener and run thru complete cycle with heat dry off to dissipate all of the soap residue. Hope this helps.

All the lights on the dishwasher are flashing and it will not run.

if you have a whirlpool type d/w then it probably is flashing 7 times then a pause. this indicates a lack of heating the water. it may not even be a problem.
what you need to do is push the water heat, air dry, water heat, air dry. and that will put the unit into test mode. after it runs thru, about 10 minutes, it should reset and let you run the unit again.
you should check to see that the door latch to make sure it is engaging fully. bend the strike down until it just clears the door panel.

No water going into machine

may be the electric valve on the incoming water line is broken or too low water pressure, may be also the program knob is faulty or the cpu does not give signal for the electric valve to open when u select the program

Jennair dishwasher timer stops halfway thru wash cycle.

Try using a cycle that doesn't boost the heat. Usually a quick or china/delicate cycle. Any cycle that heats the water pauses the timer until it is done. Some machines even select this with heated dry. The sensor that controls this can go bad and stop the timer completely. If it operates for the complete cycle , look for the sensor and replace it. There is usually a wiring diagram somewhere in the machine sometimes in an envelope inside the door, control panel or behind the front bottom panel
