i would just buy a lens cleaning disc that way you dont have to open it up,and see if it does clean it for you.
From Hyundai Owners Manual: Er6 - DISC ERROR - CHECK IF THE DISC IS INSERTED CORRECTLY IN THE CD PLAYER. MAKE SURE THE DISC IS NOT SCRATCHED OR DAMAGED.
Error 6 means your laser isn't reading disc... needs replaced pick up
laser. I would try first to insert a clean up CD and test your CD
Player with an
original CD, if the problem persist,
you have to go to fix it to a specialist.
Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important

You listed this in the auto section, so I'm not sure just where you have the problem. When you receive an error like this and you've tried several disks with the same result it means your CD player is bad and must be replaced.
What is the error message? Also- if the disc is scratched badly, the laser in the CD player may not be able to read the disc. Try another clean CD to see if the disc is the problem.
1. Makes sure DVD is clean. Wipe it gently with a soft cotton cloth.
2. Tray another DVD
3. The DVD player laser lens is dirty. You can get DVD cleaning disc at almost any electronics store and give it a try.
4. If none of the above work then it's likely the DVD player has failed.
(Oh, and if you are a new owner make sure you're using the DVD player located at the console base near the floor, the one on upper dash is CD only.)
CD Errors · E20 or CHECK CD : Cause(s): The CD player cannot focus on the disc or there is an internal focus problem. Correction(s): Try cleaning the disc or using a new disc. Make sure the disc is loaded correctly. The road could be too rough or there is too much humidity.
If your player is an AC Delco giving you the e20 error and only on your burnt discs the lens is probably not shot. It's just very dirty and can only read professional grade CDs. The remedy is to open the CD player and clean the disc with 70% Isopropyl Alcohol.
You will need a small adjustable wrench or ratchet set as well as a T-7 torx bit. You only need to remove the bottom of the player and the front piece in order to get to the CD player inside. Unscrewing other screws will just lead to having to more to reassemble. Once you get to the heart of the CD player you will need to release it by unscrewing the torx screws and then turning the player over and you will see the lens. Put some alcohol on a q tip and gently rub the lens a few times. then reverse all disassembly and put the player back together.
When you reinstall the CD player it should play all of your CDs
ALSO be sure to disconnect the negative in the battery before removing any electric devices to prevent short circuiting. And only reconnect it after you have reinstalled the CD player.
ok error code 1, look for this error code on your owners manual, toyota cd players give 3 error codes, this mean error code 1, error code 2, and error code 3, they all have different meaning please check owners manuel to see what does error 1 mean i will try looking for you
Have you tried running a cleaning device through it? The case may be that the laser that actually read the disc is either stuck in place or it has burnt out on it. That's if the cleaning doesn't work.
From Tiburon owners manual: Er6 - DISC ERROR - CHECK IF THE DISC IS INSERTED CORRECTLY IN THE CD PLAYER. MAKE SURE THE DISC IS NOT SCRATCHED OR DAMAGED.
