Water pump starts and stops when emptying tub. Tech replaced complete pump stator and rotor damaged by broken glass about a year ago which solved the problem then. I checked for damage to rotor but none evident. Does anyone have a repair manual or tell me where I can find one. Dishwasher has worked well for 5 years in two person home.

Behind the bottom drawer taped on back wall of inside of unit is atech sheet, with a pretty good troubleshooter. to remove the drawer push in rectangler hinge locks in hte bottom front corner of drawer front, just below the circles(no noeed to remove the circles)push themin and slide back the drawer will lift off and your able to set it aside(wont come out to far its connected by the hoses but itll come out enough(reset the door unto the hinge slides and pull hte lock latch foward to lock back into place

The pump and motor for DD603 is the same device. It is a rotor lodged inside a cavity under the drain filter plate. I am assuming the dishdrawer is drained properly and at end of the wash there is no water sitting inside. You need to take the rotor device out from its cavity and check for damage. hi could be two things... 1 could be you have food or broken glass in pump..it wont spin if anything there... u need to unplug from mains ...undo filter and remove ..you may have a larg metal filter remove too... you now have access to pump sump area... empty all water left in there with cup... it might SMELL :) when pretty much empty run VERY GENTLY around bottom of pump well... could be broken glass so do it slowley ... remve aything in there .. you will find a hole at bottom put finger in and turn propeller pump see if its stuck.. it it turns .and nothing is in way.. put back together and test dishwasher on quick wash.. if still not emptying change pump.. mark 07779933829 ===== TURN OFF AND UNPLUG FIRST=====
This could mean the rotor is having a problem. Open the drawer in which you are getting this fault and empty all the racks and the wash arm. Loosen the disc holding the drain plate and take the drain plate out.
Pull the rotor out firmly but carefully. Check the rotor for any damage or check the rotor chamber for any debris. usually a bone fragment or seed.
Put back everything in reverse order and try again. If still no good then need to replace the rotor.
Try replacing the rotor from the working drawer to confirm.
your better off just replacing the pump. you probably have broken glass or something else stuck inside the pump. to get to it you're going to have to remove the kick panel from the bottom of the machine. just follow the drain hose and you will see the pump.
U3 means the tub filled to quickly or the water failed to drain. Do you have very high water pressure? are you using the wrong detergent? eg you can't use tablets (powerballs) etc in the unit. Try putting half a cup of white vinegar in the tub to kill any foam. Check there isn't anything stuck under the motor rotor inside the tub and the there's no signs of damage. Put the drain hose in a bucket and see if the water drains ok when the unit starts? If everything seems ok I'd suspect the main motor controller module but it may be worth getting an appliance tech to inspect unit first as it's hard without seeing this unit. feel free to ask any questions. Cheers
Ok you need to remove the motor rotor it's under the spray arm and comes out like a light bulb from the top draw and check for anyting stuck under it or any damage done to it. Try swapping it with the one out of the bottome drawer and see if that works. When you first start the washer does it drain all the water?? if still no luck try swapping the motor contoller modules (computer board) from the top drawer to the bottom drawer and retry both drawers ,if the fault moves drawers with the part, then that part is faulty cheers
take everyting out of the inside of the drawer, you need to take out the motor rotor and check for any damage to the plastic rotors and check under the rotor for any damage to the plastic socket or plastic ridge in the socket (stator). If all is ok disconnect the drain hose and place in a bucket and check that the drawer drains ok when it first starts. if alls ok then you need a new Main Motor controller module. cheers
sorry for the delay!! If the area where the rotor fits is worn then this will definatley stop the water draining out. You will need to replace the stator assy and the rotor (if the faces are damaged). HIS IS NOT AN EASY OPERATION..... The stator comes complete with the 2 o'rings. You will need to removed the wiring cover under the drawer, then remove the drain hose & fill hose from the dispenser, disconnect the wiring to the lower part of the controller. Squeeze the retaining clips at the rear of the drawer (underneath) you will then be able to remove the drawer completely from the cabinet. Flip the drawer over and carefully remove the wiring to the motor.lift up the retaining clip formthe locking ring, and turn the ring anti clockwise. The motor and heater plate will now be free to come away from the tub. I always lubricate the o'ring with washng up liquid which will allow the locking ring to slide easier. Good luck thisis not for the faint hearted!! Good Luck and let me know how you get on
