PC Link Software for Sharp ex-a203

The software is not needed to program the register. It is only needed if you have a special bitmap file to upload to the register. The manual tells you how to program everything through the cash register keyboard.

You have to get them from a Sharp dealer. Cash register keys can't be cut.

E34 message when pressing dept 9 key

Someone has programmed an entry digit limit on that department. Look through the programming for departments and set the entry digit limit back to default for that department. I don't keep the department codes on hand as I never set limits. It should be in your manual. If you need one, C-tech collective have it here:http://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Sharp_XE-A20S_operating_programming_manual.html

Hi Lynn, This means you have set a limit on the amount that can be entered into the machine. There are two or three places that this can be set, so I need to know when it happens e.g. at what point do you get the error - when you press the item button, when you press SUBTOTAL or is it when you are pressing CASH to finish the sale?

If you are using PClink, it is not Vista compatible as far as I know. Try it on an XP machine.

Run-time error'75' path/file access error .This keeps comming up trying to program XE-A203

Cause of the Error
This error message is generated only on a Windows computer when a read-only shared resource has share-level access control.
Resolution Methods
You can resolve this issue by using one of the following methods:

*Change the access permission on your shared resource from read-only to full control.

*If your Windows computer is in a Windows NT domain, you may use user level access to workaround the problem.

*You may use Win32 API calls to access your read-only shared resource on Windows.

Ok. This means you have accidentally programmed an amount limitation. I can help you with this. You need to tell me which button is making the error appear, then we can sort it out.
