You can use the factory wiring but, it would sound better with an after market stereo and RCA plugs. You should look into some amp wiring kits for your vehicle. More than likely you will nee an amp to push a set of subs.

Hi Jimmy:
Most vehicle stereo systems speakers have two wires and are connected to the stereo. The stereo is grounded to the vehicle, but the speaker leads are connected to the stereo.

How do hook up an amplifier and subwoofer to my car stereo?

If your stereo has preamp outputs, I would recommend connecting those to the input RCA connections on the amplifier. The connection from the amplifier to the subs is dependent on the capability of the amp and the impedance/power level of the sub.

I need a wiring diagram from car stereo to 2 x 6 " x 9 " and a sub woofer please

You can connect the two 6x9 speakers to the two individual left and right outputs of the car stereo.
Connect each of the left and right channel with the correct polarity . Now the Sub-woofer requires an amplifier to be connected separately and so you need to use the car stereo to be linked to a sub woofer amp which powers the sub woofer.

We installed the amp and bass package and the subs are not nowhere near *** powerful we think its the amp and when the remote bass switch when we turn it it doesnt change

what product brand did you install. do you set the amps x-over and gains a sub sonic filter right
need to see if the amp is on check led light on amp. make sure your subs ohm load is correct for the amp.

let us an example fake amp 500x2channel max output 1000watts

if you wire your subs at 4 ohms you 250x2 rms stereo
if you wire your subs at 2 ohms you 500x2 rms stereo
if you wire your subs at 4 ohm mono you get 1000 watts

if you have the input voltage of 14.4 all the time at the amp

whats the equipment power

Hi, i have a 1998 chevy malibu and was wondering how to remove the cd player? i wanted to install a new faceplate so i can get sub woofers in there

Hello,

Follow the below steps:
  1. Review your car's owner's manual to see if it has any tips on removing the current stereo. It may have a diagram of the wiring and the area where the stereo is installed.
  2. Disconnect the battery to avoid an electrical short while working with the wiring.
  3. Use a screwdriver to remove the retaining screws holding in your car stereo. Grab hold of the stereo and pull it toward you to remove it from the dashboard.
  4. Get a pair of DIN tools to slip on either side of the stereo, if the stereo connects to the dash using spring clips and bolts. These thin tools slide in easily, release the clips, and allow the stereo to come out easily. You may need to remove dash panels when bolts hold in the stereo. Take out the bolts and screws that hold the stereo in, and then simply pull it out.
  5. Look at the wires on the back of your car stereo. You should see 2 wires attached to the stereo. A wiring clip protects the stereo from vibrations and holds the wiring harness steady.
  6. Pry the wires up from the stereo and loosen them using a pulling/pushing motion. After working the wires back and forth, you should be able to pull the wires straight out.
I hope the above helps.

Good luck.

Need to hook up bass system to 1999 ford explorer can anyone assist me

Probably need an installer - depends on yr/make/model of car - stereo and wiring diagram for sub system. There are lots of questions need answering and if not installed properly, you can certainly damage the stereo, sub system. Subs use a lot of power and improper wiring could cause problems, even fires !

Someone gave me a Pioneer DEH-2700 head unit and didn't have any of the manuals. I have a 2007 Chevy Cobalt How to I install this unit into my car. I don't know which wires go to what or anything

the easiest way to solve this issue is to buy a wire harness for your car this will make the install alot easier. Its already color coded for your wires, so head out to your local installer or try best buy you might also need a stereo kit. Email me with questions on installs. jerree_cardenas2006@yahoo.com
