A computer with a D101GGC motherboard does not start. There is no beep or monitor singal. The fan is okay. As soon as the power is connected to the computer, the red drive access light comes on, but not...

its a common problem with intel D101GGC motherboard, just open the case and unplug the dvd power cable and data cable, then turn on the PC it will work fine.

P4vm800 not working how to solve this probelom

Good day sir, hi, lets make sure first that your motherboard is good, so we need to test it, just prepare the folowing items.
  1. A good working power supply, to test: place a jumper wire across the green wire and any black(or sometimes the red with work) wire on the 20/24 pin power connector. Plug it and see if the exhaust fan run.
  2. A good set of Ram, just make sure its good. if not or in doubt buy new one (only one module) if you want. (you can keep the doubtful ones and test it later)
  3. A keyboard.
  4. If your motherboard has no VGA onboard, A good VGA card.
  5. A thumb speaker, or you can use your PC case speaker.
Okay lets assemble, on a table:
  1. Place your motherboard, (make sure no metals underneath) connect the Power Supply 20(or 24) pin to your motherboard and the 4 pin 12v connector. (if your motherboard has one).
  2. Connect the pc thumb speaker or your case speaker.
  3. connect the keyboard.
  4. connect the RAM, make sure it clicks as you install it.
  5. Optional VGA card. Onboard vga will do. Connect a monitor. plug in the monitor.
Okay, plug in your power supply, (exhaust fan is off at the moment) locate the power button pins, short them with a screwdriver. (fan is now on)

Now check your Keyboard. you will see two sets of lights, first set is Num Lock + Scroll Lock + Caps Lock, then a few seconds the second set: Num Lock only. at this point your motherboard is good.

Also check out the PC speaker beeps.
  • 1 beep mean good.
  • 1 long and 3 short beeps VGA is bad. (it may help if the VGA is snug and fit on the slot). If on board VGA, use a new AGP/PCIe card.
  • Continous long beeps. cannot detect memory
  • Continous short beeps, motherboard. (or memory sometimes).
  • No beep, fan is on.at this point do everything again. (do it several times until the board responds)
Hope this helps you. feel free to ask again.

Pc Seems to be dead wont load bios post moust doesnt work or keyboard or monitor

I have the same problem, the CPU fan spins, keyboard lights blink, no start up screen, or bios.
But, when I push a few times on the pc reset button, then the CPU fan is becoming still, the keyboard light are out and I can start the computer again in a normal way.
Can this one be a temporally solution for you too? Do you have any suggestion about?
I guess it can be an electricity dysfunction of a wrong fixed cable.

Not run 1.1

There are a lot of things it could be. Is this a new build or some thing that you have been using that started acting up?. Start be removing all the cards in it that you don't need. Then remove all the cables from the drives. See if it will boot. If it does start adding the cards and drives one by one until you find the one that is causing the trouble. If it still don't boot then check out your cpu or power supply.

Pc problem 2 with beep when it run

Hello Jake Ponce,
You could power your machine down, and open the case. Then making sure you are grounded to the case (to prevent ESD damage), I would reseat all socketed hardware and plugs, such as Memory and graphics cards, PCI slot devices, etc... Unplug and re seat everything (especially anything that has been manipulated recently), then close the case and power it back up. It's worth a try and could very well solve your issue.
Good Luck.

Problem

there are many things that can cause this, first obvious causes would be bad ram, dead mainboard or hard drive.. i say dead motherboard due to the fact you say there is no post beep on startup, easy way to tell, remove all the ram, and turn it on, if it squeels at you, you know the motherboard still at least is somewhat operational, next thing try replacing the ram.
