Problem for Indesit 24 in. DI67 Free-standing Dishwasher

Indesit Dishwasher DI67.Cycle phase lights(prewash and wash)flash

.When selecting a wash cycle, nothing happens.Machine doesnt fill with water and makes no noise.After several minutes the prewash and wash lights flash.I have checked the manual and it instructs to call the engineer.Any suggestions as the call out and repair charge would almost buy a new machine?

- Update.Cleaned filters and emptied water from machine.Drains clear and machine started the cycle.It now stops and both lights flash again.When opening the machine is filled with water.Heater is working.It appears to not be draining.Is there such a thing as a drain valve or something I have overlooked.

- Hi,
Your actual drain valve is the pump.
Located on the underside of the Machine.
this is usually connected to The drum via 1 Rubber Hose.
To the pump, then another Rubber hose to the outlet water/waste pipe.
If the pump has any debris/badge/coins/hairgrips Or bobby Pins et,c it will not Spin and empty the water. this is all relevant, to the machines Cycle of events.

Same fault as above, followed your guidelines, leaned and shook machine forward and backward, seems to work a treat.
