Yes. try using another controller. if you eat and play games or play games alot peroid. then stuff can build up and cause your controller to stick and basicly all you have to do is open up the controller and clean it out really good with quetips and rubbing alcohol.

This sounds like problem with the controller pad.

It could be left direction button is stuck down or the analog control has fault on it.

If you have two controllers try swapping them round otherwise try to clean the one you have. Maybe give it a very gentle tap to loosen and dirt inside it.

I have a Playstation that always says "disc ead error"

Hi,

This is probably a result because somehow the discs got scratched, or are dirty. This could of happened by moving the console with a disc in it, or maybe just touching the "silver" part of the disc. Or, this may be happening because the reading device of this console is a little dirty, or it could just be a internal error

Ps2 unable to read new games

Okay, If your using the original PS2 console, then your problem is the age of the console. It actually can't play some of the games that were released after the PS2 slim was released. If this is the case, there's not much you can do but try to find a PS2 slim or get a PS3 with the ability to play PS2 games :(

Won't read PS2 discs

what has probably happened is that when you dropped it the part which recognises ps2 games was damaged so the best thing to do is take it to a repair shop or phoe the sony helpline.

Please help asap!!!!!!!!!!

I would suggest to toggle the "analog" button on and off to see if that fixes the problem. If not then try a different controller. Try it with different games as well(make sure discs are clean!!) If that does not work then your playstation has a malfunction and needs to be repaired if it is worth it to you.
Sorry!! GOOD LUCK!!

Ps2 slimline.... disc doesnt spin, laser not flashing or moving... no data on browser

My ps2 has/had the same problem, it wouldn't read DVD movies at all and ps1 games were always hit or miss. The only two solutions i can suggest are cleaning the lens or replacing the little cotton pad that holds the disk in place near the laser. This seemed to fix it for me, it works about 85% of the time now. Hope one of these helps
