You have probably downloaded MP3 format. Only recently have manufacturers included radios in their vehicles that will play MP3's. In other words you probably do not have an MP3 compatible stereo in your car

try 2 CD called CD-DA music disk. called brick store CDs"top labels"
many CD-r disk record-able do not play in cars.
many CD with Mp3 music do not play
the owner guide in the glove box does tells what the radio CD plays for the OEM radio sold day one. new.
watch out some Radio.or head end CD rigs can get 2 CDs jammed inside. (for sure slot CD type) kids do that most. failing to eject first the ram in a 2nd, causes huge damage.
Mathew have al the power off and used a smoothed of clotheslinetry /////////gently to pul it out, once your sure you have it loght up the sterio and maintain a steay pull, can u tell me ow that worked out? 3min to 5 hours screaming:)
Call Mitsubishi Customer Service an give them your ViN# and your radio's serial number. 1-888-648-7820 Tell them your dealer wants to charge you $75 to do this so they will do it for free.
