I recently purchased a mitsubishi vs-5043 50in. rear projection television. It doesn't have a remote. And I don't and can't find a user manual. So i'm wondering is there a way to manually adjust the color,tint,contrast,etc....Thanks 4 any help

This is a link to the manual which you can download for free--note pages 39 and 64 which deal with unlock of front keyboard and also reset with the remote.
If you go into the main menue with the Mitsubishi remote, there should be a set up icon for programing stations. It should give you a selection for cable and or standard tuning. Select cable then press auto program.

A halo effect usually means the coolant in the CRTs need replacing in the effected color usually blue goes first followed by green. red seems to be less prone for some reason.
