Broken disk my gcube cant read disk and it still doesnt work if i clean it. do you know any machine that can repair broken disks

Boot into Safe Mode.
Open a command prompt as Administrator.
Type in chkdsk /r and reboot the machine.
Let it run to check and repair errors.

I might know the problem, same thing happened to my Xbox 360 and one of my solutions happens with every game

Solution 1: There is a scratch or smear, you should know what to do if there is.

Solution 2: The disk slot is totally broken and cant be fixed, try hitting the top of the system not to hard, not to soft andf then it should be ablle to rerad the disks, if that doesnt work. then i have no idea what is wrong with that thing, ask an expert than.

your disk reader is probably broken or dirty try cleaning it... if that doesnt work you need to get a new disk reader

Clean your disk tray, if that doesnt solve the problem then It's got to do with the laser. Send it to the repairs.

whip down the disc to make sure its clean then if it doesnt work the laser trying to read it is broken

Does this problem only happen with this disk? If it only happens to that one, then the disk may be dirty or broken.  If it happens to all of your disks, your console's "eye" (disk reading device) may need repair. If this is the case, you should contact 1-800-4MY-XBOX.

DONT FORGET TO RATE SOLUTION

1. CLEAN THE LASER. ALWAYS DO THIS FIRST. MOST TIMES THIS IS ALL YOU NEED TO GET YOUR SYSTEM BACK RUNNING A 100% AGAIN

2. IF THE LASER CLEANING DON'T WORK ON YOUR PS2 SYSTEM PERFORMANCE THEN TRY ADJUSTING THE LASER VOTAGE.

3. IF THE LASER VOTAGE DON'T WORK YOU NEED TO REPLACE THE LASER

Is it possible that you have the disc facing the wrong way? I often put mine in facing the wrong way and get that message. When I turn it over all is well. Or, possibly your disk is scratched and needs cleaning. Try another game in it.

if it doesnt read the disk,you may want to open it up (but voiding the warranty) and clean the UMD drive.
if it doesnt read just one UMD,it might be the disk.
if cleaning the UMD drive doesnt work,you may have to get a new drive,or a new psp.

I Had The Same Problem! And I Have A Solution. Unscrew the top off and look inside.
there is the off and on switch on the opposite side to the right of it are 2 little switches, they have probably been displaced, they must be held back, the problem is they are running the disks around and it they aren't in the back they wont do anything.The Laser Should Be Cleaned using a Q-tip and Peroxide. Don't Use Too Much Just Clean Off The Laser, If That Doesn't Work, Its A Problem Inside The Machine, And is Extremely Hard To Fix, If Thats Your Problem, I Would Just Buy A New One For 99$ Rather Then Paying 80$ For Some Guy To Look At It And Say You Cant Fix It, If He Can Fix It, You Were Lucky, But If I Were You, I Wouldn't Take That Chance, Try What I Said, It Worked For Me, Now My Cube Is As Good As New. XD
