I bought an HD 32"LCD/dvd combo from Walmart on Nov 6, 2007 for my disabled brother. When I was visiting him last evening I noticed a thick black mark on the screen at the top right about 1 1/2 inches long. It was on every channel
once I noticed it he of course noticed as well. can this be fixed ? I didn't notice this marrk early on. This was a Xmas gift so we had purchase the set well before the holiday. It has only been about 60 days since he has enjoyed the et before we noticed the black mark.

When I called Walmart about the problem because it had be past the 90 day return policy,he sugested that I contact the manufacturer....which did.
After reading your reply to return the set to the store for repair because it was still under warranty, he agreed to give me an in store credit and would try to set me up with a like model.
So thanks for your help Jaime867...just goes to show that if one follows the correct procedures to solve a problem...it ususally ends with a positive outcome;-)

That problem is usually cause of low reception if you are using aerial antenna,if your are using cable or digital signal check your wiring and the worst is you have defective audio IC..

most manafactors codes are 1234 or 0000 or 5555 or 8888 you might have to put extra didget on EG 12345 -00000 - 55555 -88888 but if you changed it sorry dont know
Open dvd tray and blow on the lens inside to remove the dust. This happens alot and many people make the mistake of throwing them away. If it doesn't work, then there is something wrong with the lens or the lens needs to be cleaned with alchohol.
