We lost our remote and were trying to manually turn on the tv. Pressed some controls like the protection controls for kids viewing and now we can't even get the TV to turn on. We bought a unviersale remaote and entered all the codes but no success. HELP We have model 27MS343S mfg in 2002.

Re: Magnavox TV won't turn on.
Not sure what buttons you could have pressed . The TV should still come on even if you pressed the parental features. This will only block certain channels out . One thing you can try is to unplug TV over night from 120V and plug it back up in the morning to see if it will reset itself . Let me know if this works . Good luck

hi have you tried scanning all codes with the remote untill it picks up the correct signal if you have the manual it will tell you how to do this if its possible it will work after searching the codes. Also what model remote and what make cable box
