My HT-P38spins to far - the DVDs will not line up correctly in the laser reader - sometimes they do but its getting rare - it rotates about 1/4" to far so the DVD binds and I get NO DISK error help ?

Is their away to re align how far the platter spins ?

Did you get your problem solved?
I had the same problem today.  The tech at Samsung said to unplug 10 secs, plug in and power up.  No luck.
Then she said to hold the stop button (little square symbol) for 15 secs.  The readout said INITIALIZING, then GOODBYE and the unit powered down.  I powered back up and still nothing.
Then I powered down and back up while pressing in gently on the silver part sticking out.  I felt something catch and it went back in completely.   I inserted a CD and it's playing fine.
Goes to show you just have to keep fooling with this stuff and experimenting.

No sound after loading the cd

Does it do it with just one cd or all cds? If none play then obviously there is something wrong with your cd player. The laser assembly could be dirty or the laser could be wearing out and no longer tracking properly.

And the latter are really not repairable, just replaceable.

Hi folks :-) I'm affraid that we have started up wrong, but I hope we can fix it ! Problem: A band, we've made a que-track (everybody's playing and singing at the same time) now we've...

Real musicians do change tempo throughout a song, so its not necessarily a bad thing. As long as you like the sound it doesn't matter if you don't stick rigidly to a fixed tempo. Unfortunately you won't be able to fix the tempo after the initial recording so you'll have to live with it or re-record. If you need a click track to record along to, try recording yourself hitting drum stick together along to the already recorded track. As a human you can track small tempo changes much easier than a computer. If you need to create a count in, just copy and paste a section of this click track to the start of the track. I hope this makes sense!

My cd changer is say disc error and it wont close all the way in and there is no cd inside of because i took it out

If the door will not close or go to home posistion then one or two things has happened, 1. the Unit is out of timing squence and needs to be retimed, this happens when someone pulls on the door while it is opening just one gear tooth out of sequence will cause malfunctioning. 2. The elevator or clamper is not open so the tray can not slide between the spindle motor and the clamper assembly, this usually comes from either a bad or weak belt on the load assembly or worn gear on the elevator or clamper assembly. Open the unit and close the door to check function the disc, should slide between these parts to play, if the door is not closing then you will see why or what is not working or blocking the tray.

I've just spent the last 3 nights trying to fix that same issue with my player. I ended up pulling out the dvd tray assembly, and making sure there wasn't anything broken inside or obstructing other pieces. Come to find out, my 1 year old had pulled on one of the trays and it pulled the tray off it's tracks. After that, it would just go to "init please wait" forever. I pulled the side track cover off and aligned the tracks manually. Everything had to be absolutely perfect or else you'd get nothing. After the fact, I realized that there were two holes in the bottom of the player that you can take a spare small gear (which is attached to the plastic cover on top of the dvd tray assembly) and stick it in there and manually adjust the tray positions to make sure everything is aligned properly. After messing with it three days, it ended up being quite simple to fix. Everything works like a charm now. If you need details, feel free to email me.
