Sigma 170-500mm f.5-5.6. fit on nikon d 200 ??? and i wild like to how good is this one 170-500mm

Sigma makes their lenses with a variety of mounts for a variety of cameras. A lens with a Canon mount, for example, will not fit onto a Nikon camera. Assuming the lens has a Nikon mount, it is fully compatible with the D200.

If you mean the 150-500mm, you can see a review at

In general, Sigma supertelephoto zooms have a pretty good reputation. However, only YOU can decide whether a particular lens is "good enough" for you.

My Sigma apo 70-200mm f/2.8 hsm lens functions fine. Focus works and zooms just fine. The problem is the front part of the lens is loose. You have to hold it to secure it while shooting. Otherwise you can...

Am having the same problem. I fixed it once but can't remember how I did it. I think there are screws under the mounting ring -which has four screws itself. Then, I think under the green computer board, there are other screws that should be tightened... I will look at mine tomorrow and come back here to report.

No lens lock on a Sigma 135-400DG, falls to full extension.

buy the glass that does not zoom via push pull - When they get old and sometimes right off the shelf new the push pull zooms get loose - the only fix is for you to have it serviced and even then it is a temporary fix as the very nature of what you do to use the zoom will ultimately cause the same problem to occur.

Autofocus not working

If you don't know how to fix it yourself send it to Sigma UK (01707 329999). They are quite resonable charges for that sort of fault. Their website give a price guide depending on lens and fault. Steve
