I would say the most likely cause of the issue is either that the printer is no longer functioning or that it is experiencing power issues. Make sure that the printer is plugged in directly to the wall and not into a surge protector or a power strip. The printer does not share power well and pulls it in large amounts - when it can't get it it throws little power fits and sometimes will not turn on at all. Try another wall outlet and see if you can get it to power on.

Also if this does not help more info like the type of printer, what you have tried, power outages, would really help to solve the issue.

Disable power saving mode

Sorry, but you will NOT be able to DISABLE the power saver mode on this printer. The printer will still go into "power saver mode", but it takes longer to do so, if you set diffrent as default time delay [ Two power saver modes: (1) print to standby mode 35 Watt, user-definable 1-30 minutes, default 3 minutes ; (2) print to powersaver mode 4 Watt, user-definable 5-60 minutes, default 10 minutes ].

Installing new ink, getting code 6502, can u please help

Sometimes the Canon printers which use PG-5BK/CL-8 colour cartridges with chips will give error mesaages like 6502 or other types of error meaasge to do with the cartridges, which has the orange light flashing and the printer will not work. Follow this procedure which quite often resets the printer and allows it to resume printing.

When error is indicated, turn power switch off so green light is extinguished.

First hold down resume button and then hold down power button so both are held down at same time

When green light comes on, continue holding down power button and let resume button go, then press resume button twice. Then let power button go.

Then press resume button four times, power button should be releasedbefore doing this.

Wait until printer settles down, if power is off, turn on. If power will not come on, remove power cord from back of printer, then wait 15 seconds before plugging back in again and turn power on. This normally solves the error problem - if not go through same procedure again.

Incidentally, you may find that if the chips had previously been disabled, the low ink warnings are showing againand they will have to be disabled once more. This would indicate that the above procedure clears the firmware memory of the disabling of the chips, this may be usefull if you need some warranty work done on you printer after the chips had been disabled. Canon does warn that disabling the chips may result in the printer's warranty being voided

Everytime I have to re-set the setting again, because my printing paper is 11.5 inches while the OKI 320 will return to factory setting of 12 inches. Disabling Power Save mode

If you enter the config menu, you can turn off energy conserve. You enter the config menu by turning off the printer, holding the center and right arrow, and powering the printer on. Continue to hold the buttons until you see Performing self test. Then you will see config menu. If you scroll down to energy conserve and select it. You can change the option to off. This will disable power saver.
