Question about HP (375394-001) DVD±RW Burner

1 Answer

DVD burner burns but when closing it says there is not enough space on the disk

When burning DVDs it tells me that there is no more space on the dvd when it's in the last phase of burning. No matter how much information i'm tring to burn it gives me that messege. i've tried updating the driver and using different dvd burning software and i get the same error messege that the information can't fit or the disk is too small when it is not. The drive is called TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-L532M and the laptop is a HP L2000 lance armstrong addition.

Well yeah some files won't burn totally. and that sucks, even when the disc is enough for the file, it really does not burn. like what I downloaded a few moths ago,, I was burning it but when it comes to the very end, it cuts out and telling me too abort the burning. even using windows dvd burner or nero.well i will keep you updated for this matter.

Perform an observation of the written descriptions located on the device burner. DVDR +W is indication of capacity to burn DVD R+W only. Usually, the empty disk has to be compartible with the burners specification to commnece downloads.

My dvdr/rw wont burn dvds properly

There are many reason for this.Try following steps to look out for solution.

1>Use better quality Dvd to burn .DVDs are just a few cents worth of plastic, manufactured in massive quantities. Sometimes you end up with a bad disk or a bad batch. Try a new disk, or a whole new brand, and you may have more luck burning your DVDs

2>Dust in your DVD burner can prevent it from burning DVDs correctly. Buy a lens cleaning disk and use it in your DVD burner drive. This can clean things up and give you a clean, successful burn.

3>For better quality burn at slow speed. It’s always tempting to burn DVDs at the highest speed possible. In theory, you’ll save time and can get more DVDs burned. In practice, though, higher speeds can result in unreliable burns.
Slow things down and set your DVDs to burn at 4x or even 2x. This may eliminate errors.
I hope this will solve your problem.

There are dozens of free perfect functioning  burning software. the one that i use is Totally Free Burner 3: as the name says it's free, extremely small ( just 1 MB compared to 100MB for Nero), fast and very easy to use. get it from here http://www.softpedia.com/get/CD-DVD-Tools/Audio-CD-DVD-Burning/Totally-Free-Burner.shtml

Windows can only write to CDR disks in its internal drivers, and to burn DVD's requires a 3rd party program such as NERO or NTI.
