I can get into the dashboard but it says that the disk is un readable

I checked out all 3 and this one was the cheapest. took me 32 minutes , they say 30 minutes but took me a bit longer not very tech minded..

It is possible that there are errors on the floppy disk or the disk was formated using a format that is incompatible with the current operating system. If the disk is readable on another system, the best solution would be to copy the files onto a portable USB flash drive, then reformat the floppy disk using a filesystem that is readable on the desired computer.

Windows uses Registry Keys, from XP onwards. If you remove a working bootable hard drive from your pc and place it in another pc, there is a very real possibility that the Registry will record foreign Keys as it is in a different pc and delete some of the Registry Keys, making it non bootable. It can even render the information, files, documents etc un readable.
I suggest refitting the hard drive and running the recovery programme in the hope you can rebuild the Registry Keys. Then run CHKDSK/F to detect any errors on the surface of the disk.

This is a problem occurring in all the xbox 360 consoles....... this is mainly because of the poor quality of the disc.....as a result it leads to the damage of ur xbox lens..............use good original discs........the heating effect is due to the long usage of pirated discs ...

Try formatting your memory card by inserting it in Micro SD adapter then insert this in the memory card reader and then try formatting it using HP USB disk storage format tool. This would probably fix this...

Try cleaning the CD DVD drive and insert the restoration disk.
Restart the unit with the disk inserted.
If the disk is un-readable, it will not restore.

Call microsoft and they will ship a box to you, which you will put your console in it and ship it. They will fix it.
