Sorry the answer is no. If the rolling pic was the only problem you had then yes throw a new signal board in and move on. In this case your picture not being as sharp as it used to be will also be tubes going bad..18 years not a bad run on three tubes that run extremely warm. Have fun on your upgrade to lcd or dlp proojection this will cost less than the fix of your tv.

Need the model number of the Hitachi which should be listed n the rear cover. I should be able to assist but will need the Model Number to determine which chassis design you have.

Have a 50fx48b Hitachi TV, screen flickers, gets wavy and goes to horizontal line, smack top of tv and it goes back to normal.

This problem is a couple of bad caps in the vertical and horizontal sweep area, just can't remember which. It use to be a 220uf cap that needs changing.

Sounds like you have broken solde joints on the vertical/horizontal board. I have a tip at http://www.fixya.com/support/r4751428-fix_no_vertica_drive_problem which explains the problem and how to fix it. Let me know if you need more help.

Mitsubishi VS-45607 45" Big Screen

Good Day, Delano1981;

It may cure the problem but I would suspect the 9 Volt source
CHECK C2P05 100 UFD 16 V OFF PIN 3 OF IC2P01 AND
IC2P01 PART # 270P466020 (9-VOLT REGULATOR). BOTH
ARE ON THE SIGNAL PCB.

This should resolve your TV"s condition.

Good Luck, big IRISH.
