Same problem continued: Got lower panel off, both coils OK, igniter works, flame blue, but flame shuts off after ~ 3-4 minutes. Does keeping lower panel off affect this?

Burner assembly will cycle on and off. There are temp controls that cause the on/ off cycle so the clothes don't get too hot or catch fire. It will cycle off faster when empty than with a normal load.

My whirlpool gold quiet partner II will not change cycles it just keeps running. What can I do?

Hello there and thank you for choosing fixya
This is a fairly common issue with these dishwashers the problem usualy stems from the timer itself the timer tells the machine to switch to the next cycle after a given amount of time and when it quits working then the timer needs to be replaced
So what you will want to do is first try a different load cycle or even try them all to see if it changes if so then this is a true sign of the timer being bad ok so if it does work in lets say a light cycle but not in the normal cycle this means that the normal cycle part of the timer is bad ok?
Please try these first and post back to to what you have discovered andi can continue to help you form there ok?
Best regards Mike

My washer keeps draining water during the fill cycle. It pumps the water out as fast as the water is going into the tub. This only happens on the normal cycle-other cycles work OK.

it could be the programer at fault or,,,there is a small pipe from the bottom of the tub that gos to a censor at the top of the washer its the over fill censor pull off the pipe from the censor at the top and blow down it if there is any yuck in it this should clear it out and it may then work ok

Only can use the heavy wash cycle

HELLO THERE
The cycle doesn't advance or you are unable to use one of the cycles such as light or the normal wash cycle, your problem normally is caused by a bad timer It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance.and if you set it to the normal cycle or light cycle and nothing happens Then you need to replace the timer. ok? hope this is veery helpful for you
Best regards Michael

The F21 signal keeps flashing.

f21 is long drain, failed to drain in 8 mins. f27 is overfill, overfill contacts on pressure sw closed. If unit did actually successfully drain normally then pressure sw is likely the problem.
1. did pump come on? if no replace pump
2. is unit draining at normal rate? no then clean pump.
if yes on both replace pressure sw.
to second poster if getting suds error when using HE then you likely are using to much detergent. If avail run a clean washer cycle.
or normal cycle with bleach or fabric softner, no clothes

GE 24in. dishwasher GSD5630D00WW

Bill, I see this all the time in GE, that valve under the back strainer is called the piston nut assy. If it's not seating you will have water left in the tub at the end of the cycle. Part #wd24x220, can get it for around 13.95, repairclinic.com. You replace it from the top, it unscrews....Catriver.
