Programming Universal Remote Controls

There seems to be a great deal of confusion about programming universal remotes. The facts are as follows:

The code MUST come from the manual that came with the remote. The manufacturer of you tv or other electronic device has no idea what the remote control maker used for codes. They have no way of knowing.

If your code or brand is not in that book, and the remote has no search or learn mode, forget it. It will never work. That is why you should go with a good name brand, like Sony, etc.

If you lose the manual, they are almost always available on the manufacturer's website.

If you can't get it to work, return it for a refund and call the manufacturer for the original remote. It will cost you more, but eliminate a lot of headaches.

Picture of remote control for futronic tv

This TV set is manufactured at the RC&C manufacturing in Cape Town South Africa. I don't have a clue who distributes this brand. There should be an address or contact number in the owners manual or go to a store that sells that brand and see who they call for service. The only thing I have is the factory numbers and contacts .. Who knows , maybe it will help? Good Luck

To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability. Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device brand you have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its pack. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. For more details about the set-up codes, visit the sites.
Universal remote controls are available at most of the electronic spare part selling shops. Visit some on-line sites too, which deals with electronic spare parts.

My remote broke a few yrs ago. I need the tv code to enter in my comcast universal remote (can't find Element code anywhere?

Sounds like a re-branded set. Sold under different name than original manufacturer.

1-800-comcast they will get you the code. If there is no code specified, they can walk you through the procedure to search a working code. I assume you do not have the pamphlet / instructions for that. If you have the code list thing, it should have the manual search procedure on it. Quite simple to do.

Atec 37" tv remote code

You didn't tell us the brand and model of the remote and it is very possible that none exists anyhow. 'Universal' remotes don't really exist since the electronic manufacturers refuse to standardize any kind of a coding set so later TVs will often have no match in the cable, satellite or aftermarket remotes.
If you need an original remote, there are several sites where these can be found; one of the leaders is

Tc code for a polaroid tv

Gloria i work in an electronics store and have had many run ins with common universal remotes not having codes available for newer TV manufacturers. Most universal remotes are limited to 50-100 brands of telivisions. The problem is that recently many companies have recently started manufacturing TVs and it is at the discression of the remote manufacturer which codes they can accept. There is a solution but in many cases gets overlooked because of the price. Advanced Universal remotes are available ranged $75-$500 and can either access codes from an internet based database or learn from the original remote directly.
