Deleting songs off of my 1GB iLO MP3 player

Hi,

I have a MP-556/WMA iLO MP3 Player, that i got from Walmart, and i was just wondering, if there is a way to delete songs off of it without having to plug it into the computer, because i can't plug it into the computer with the USB cable it came with,it won't plug in because the little wires are messed up in the part where it's supposed to plug in at,and it won't plug in far enough for the light to come on,so if anybody has any idea of what i'm talking about, any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Thanks for answering, but now my MP3 player won't even come on,i'll turn it on and it won't even get passed Loading,it just stays on that, and i have to end up taking the battery out to turn it off.

Oh, i can turn it on,it just doesn't go passed Loading,it usually turns on and says Loading then it says Flash Loading then it goes to the songs, but i guess it's just stuck or something, and it's not the battery because it did that when i put a new battery in it,so idk what's wrong, but thanks anyway for help.

Hello Amanda;

im sorry amanda but it sad to say that there is no other option in deleting your files other than connecting your player to the computer and delete the files in there.

In this case, i will suggest you to provide a cable connector or maybe a friend have a cable connector so that you can delete files on it.

may this help you. best regards, melnavz ,

It sad to hear, but i think there a way to troubleshoot that, however it hard to troubleshoot when it is not in my hand. But anyway u can let the repairman in your area to do it for you and it cost you money. so better buy a new player.

    thank you for using fixya

    best regards, melnavz

you cant expect all mp3 players to play as many songs as u wnt. each mp3 player has a limit of memory card that needs to be attached. see whats the maximum memory your mp3 player can support. and also see if you can locate all the songs when the SD card is connected to your computer

Ilo 1GB Mp3 Player Only had for a month and quit working properly

YOU HAVE TO SYNC THROUGH MEDIA PLAYER - IT DOES NOT RECONGIZE SONGS IF YOU JUST COPY THEM ONTO THE SD CARD.

FOR VISTA -This player only seems to be able to transfer MP3 format with Vista, using windows media player syne. Unless someone found otherwise.

FOR XP PRO When using XP Pro and Windows Media Player you can transfer WMA but you have to go into the PROPERTIES of the drive (mine was mp-556/G: drive) and DESELECT the option to transfer FOLDER HEIRECY. The MP3 player is not able to reconginize the folder structure it usually creates by default.

Ilo mp3 Player Model MP-556

I just got an ilo mp3 player and when I try to sync songs from Windows Media Player 11 to it, it only puts about 1/2 of the songs on it. It says it has plenty of memory, so what's the problem?

Got a new SD Card + Card Reader but when I download my music on it...

You cannot just move WMA songs onto the card and play in the MP3 player. MP3 format may work this way, but for sure the player only seems to be able to recongize WMA files when syncd through Windows Media with the USB cord attached. Be sure the DESELECT 'copy folder hierecy' under the sync options/properties of the MP3 player drive or SD card drive.

This player only seems to be able to transfer MP3 format with Vista, using windows media player sync. I can syne MP3s formats, but not WMAs at all. Unless someone found otherwise
