Is the wireless card "ENABLED" in your computer if it is I think you should connect a cable to the computer/router and log in to the router to see if something has changed in the setup for the wireless settings.

You need to ensure that either all your devices are "N" capable or to set the router to MIXED mode.

Routers should be initially set up from a WIRED computer and not a wireless one (states in the instructions on almost all routers)

Once you are set up to accomodate a mix of wireless if thats whatyou have then depending on how you set up your security a single passord for all would in most cases be adequate.

If only one computer can get on the net then the issue is NOT you isp (provider) and you have to go back to the router.

If NO computers can get on the net then it may be your ISP or you have not set your login details up properly in the router which takes care of all that for you.

Linksys router will not work with my hp deskto

you will need to "set up" the router.
http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/support
This is the support page for linksys, if you enter your model in the drop down box, you may see a "Easy Setup' or "assistant" software to help set it up, otherwise you can contact your ISP and they will walk you through entering the right settings.
You will usually have to enter 192.168.1.0, or something close in the address bar when you hook your router up and get pagecannot be displayed, type in that number (or the correct ip of the router) and it will get you to the router setup page.

On which port of the D-link router did you plug the WRT160N router?

Do this setup.

Disconnect the WRT160N from D-link.

Connect a computer to port 1 of the WRT160N. Access the setup page by typing 192.168.1.1 on the address bar. you may need to type in the username and password for WRT160N. on the setup page Change the LAN IP address from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.2.1. save the settings.

Connect a cable from port 1,2,3 or 4 of the D-link router to the Internet port of the WRT160N. turn off everything then turn them on starting from cable modem>D-link >WRT160N then computer.

You should be able to access the internet.

My computer is asking for a WEP password. I do not know what it is.

if you mean that you are trying to connect to the net with your wireless connection, it will be the router that has WEP security in it and to connect to it you need to enter the WEP passkey to connect, this will be on the side of your router or with the paperwork from your ISP if the router is pre secured.
If it's not your connection, and you don't have a wireless router then you need to dissable your wireless network from searching for a local connection

I have a strong connection but limited or no connectivity with my wireless router. I clicked on repair and it cannot be completed due to: renewing your IP address.

have you tried:
  • unpluging your router, waiting a few minutes (5) pluging it back in? sometime routers will need to be reset once in awhile.
  • have you checked the installation of your net-card? maby pull it and try a diffrent port.
  • contacting your ISP? it may be a networking problem up the road.
  • possibly try setting your network to a private setting. or making sure your network detection setting is turned on. you can find these options in your network and sharing folder.
I hope these options can lead the way to fixing your problem.

My companion has installed a Belkin FSD7632UK4 Wireless Router on to her new laptop and is now having problems using AOL who say they can't help her as they don't support Belkin Routers.

you don't need a router on a laptop you need a wireless pc card, AOL is a terrible provider for isp find a cheaper faster service and you both may be happier campers

Cannot finish installation (Belkin F5D8633-4 wireless modem router N mimo)

ok, obvious questions first:

Do you have a different modem from TALKTALK? can you connect to the internet through that?

if so, you may not have to set a username and password for the belkin router: just connect the belkin router's internet port to the talktalk modem and let the talktalk modem handle the automatic connection.

do you know what protocol the talktalk ISP uses?  it's probably PPPOE; make certain that your belkin router is set to the correct protocol.  if you just hook it up to the talktalk modem though, you probably won't have to specificy a protocol at all.
