My call of duty mordern warfare 2 game says unable to read disk and to clean it with a soft cloth and i did it but it still dosent work what do i do

Typically it is from a dirty or scratched DVD. Some fabrics may scratch the dvd. It is best to use a very soft flannel cloth only and even with that handle carefully.

You can also use a wax like candle wax and softly rub it over and wipe it off. It must be a true soft wax, not a silicon wax. That will fill in tiny scratches when cleaning isn't enough sometimes.

Will it play other games fine? Is the cod modern warfare disc scratched? You might have a dirty laser or bad one try cleaning it with rubbing alcohol and a qtip.

have you tried to play any other games since this started? try another game or dvd movie, if it works fine then your Modern Warfare disc is either damaged or defective, if it not scratched try taking it back to where you got it and asking for a replacement. If no other games or movies work then your xbox 360 disc drive has failed, you will have to contact Microsoft and probably send your xbox in for repair.

check the disc for any scratch,try cleaning it using a soft cloth,if still the same issue,try other game disc ,check if it will happen with other game disc,if not, the modern warfare disc is the issue,but if the error persist with all the game disc,the problem is your console you need to call xbox your repair

Has the been played without a problem before??

The disk may be damaged. Try to use a "disk docter" if you know somebody with one. If you dont have try to put a little windex on a soft towel and clean the disk inside to out.

Are other game disk working ok with the 360? If no game or dvd disk are working then the dvd drive has failed and will have to be replaced. If you have any questions give me a comment.

bad or dirty drive clean the drive and make sure disk is not scratched anywhere

if its a new game (never played) take it back for exchange and try that as well

try the disc in another xbox, if the same message appears on more than one xbox take the game to the retailer as its faulty. good luck.

i guess it's a problem with your Hard Disk . please try the following :

• re-updating your system by an USB device (download the update from sony ps3 website)
  
• reinstalling all game data files
• restoring your system (don't forget to backup all your important files such as game saves !!)
