- I just purchased this same fryer and am having a problem with shutting the lid. It doesn't appear to be damaged in any way, but I have to slam the lid sometimes several times to get it to stay closed, and it seems especially hard to keep closed when I try to shut it during frying. I'm really bummed because other than that I love it. It fries like a dream and is so easy to clean! Has anyone else had this problem?- haleighsnanaBest Solution

about the Lid, make sure that you have the control panel firmly in the two grooves and the lid will stay shut. If it isn't in the right grooves, the lid will not shut. My husband had to point that out to me when I was having the same problem.

I received the same fryer in December as a gift, and never had any problem with it until the removable oild reservoir was dropped. Do you want to sell yours?
