To configure a port on your system open windows help. Type in the search window, Ports & search.
Your return key on the keyboard is the Home key.
If you explain in more detail what you want to do with a port I may be able to guide you further.
Tanks for using FixYA
Good luck!

Hi samudra07. To increase your transfer speed for the internet. tweaking your port is not the answer. Tweaking your TCP/IP is where you need to make changes. First I'll show you where to find your (as you named it communication port). Open Network Conncection. Right click on Internet Connection & left click properties. Click setting in the next window. Click Edit in the next window. As you'll see there is nothing you can do to your port.

Now lets increase your internet speed through TCP/IP.

I found a site that helps me not to type this explaination in detail but allows you to understand the concept & increase your speed at the same time. Click the link listed below, scroll down to the title; Let the Tweaking Begin When you have finished I promise your internet speed will be set to it's maximun possible for your system. samudra07 just follow the instruction & please do not skip anything.

Hello again samudra07. If I could download a good Virus protection program & get for free I would choose McAfee but you can not get the realy good antivirus programs for free. There is a decent antivirus that you can download & use for free. It's called

AVG. You can download it at this link:

It is about the best one can get for free.

    Good Luck & kind Regards

Set VM machine to boot from CD.Install on VM hard drive from within the VM machine, Type in KEY code,Bam! you now have a win xp VM!(Note: Games and stuff may not work in the VM as they do not use your video card but a virtual video card that is pretty limited!)

Need product key for windows xp professional installation extensa 5420-5687 model #MS2210

I am sorry, but we are not allowed to give Product Keys or Registration Keys.

But I can help guide you to where yours is located.

When you buy a Retail Copy of Windows, the registration key is located on the included material.

If it came pre-installed, there will be a Windows sticker on the bottom of your laptop with the key.

If you already have XP Pro installed, you can use any of the numerous programs listed in the below link to read the key from where it is stored on your computer.

There are other options to obtain a registration key, but they are all illegal and I am not allowed to list them.

Hope this information helps you.

I have a Presario C501 that needs an XP professional operating sy

Pain! If you don't have any important files on the computer, you can wipe the whole mess off with the XP install disc. when the computer boots up, just hit delete or insert or whatever it flashes when it says " hit <KEY> for setup... it won't say KEY, but it'll have some abbreviation for the key you need to hit. So once you've hit it's magic key, and it takes you into the setup menu, find an option that says "primary boot device" and switch it to the CDROM drive. Throw the XP install disc in the drive, and restart. It'll walk you through. Just tell it you want to remove the existing operating system and it'll wipe everything clean, restart a bunch, and give you a great many progress bars along the way (best do do this while you're watching a movie on the TV or something)... once XP is up and running, restart again, hit the magic key, and set the Primary Boot Device to the hard drive again, and there you are. On the other hand, you may be lucky enough that the XP install disc can just be double-clicked from the Computer entry on the Start menu. That's vastly easier than all the punching of buttons and tampering of settings I just described.. to get XP, there are a number of ways, but among the easiest is to just run to your favorite computer/electronics store and grab a copy.... It should be less than $100 or at least near that. Alternatively, find a used computer retailer, and tell them you want to switch it, and they can probably hook you up with a fully licensed copy for a lot less, plus they'll do the switch for you for anywhere from free to about $40, depending on how hungry/unscrupulous they are. Just make sure you get some sort of guarantee on it in case it conks out on you in the first few weeks of use and abuse. Good Luck!
