Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

Tv problem I am getting a black square in the centre of my screen at irregular intervals. I change the channel and the square goes away for awhile. It does not affect the sound, and the square is solid black, no lines etc. My 24' Citizen is new and the model # is C24406 and the serial # is 71000574. thanks. Stephanie

Screen on LG goes to black right after turned on.

It looks as if the backlights are being switched off at start up, this will be due to a fault either with the inverter board or a fault with the screens backlights which would mean the screen needing replaced. Contact your repair centre to have an engineer give you an estimate on the cost of repair.

A black box appears on the screen

The close caption feature most be on and you need to disable it to get rid of the black box,the close caption must be set in any mode for the box to come up,maybe text1 or text2.Go thru the menu options until you get to the CC feature, some remotes have a key to bring it up and disable it.Let us know if you need more information.
