You might need to check a driver for your bluetooth. Also Bluetooth and a WiFi are two different technologies, they are using different adapters.

Usb dongle is not working

Step 1:
A Bluetooth dongle is an external Bluetooth device used to enable your PC's Bluetooth connection. Many Bluetooth dongles come without installation disks since the software is pre-programmed into the actual USB stick. These Bluetooth dongles are very useful on netbooks that don't have Bluetooth connection, since netbooks have no CD-Rom drives. Turn on your PC. Insert the USB Bluetooth dongle into the USB port on your desktop tower, or the USB ports located on the perimeter of your laptop. Wait for the program to auto run. Once you connect your dongle, the driver program should launch. Follow the onscreen prompts to install the dongle. A dialogue box should open that says "Installing Drivers" from the taskbar. Allow the driver to install completely before closing the box. Unplug the dongle and restart your PC. Once the PC has been switched on, insert the dongle. Double-click "My Bluetooth Places." This is the Bluetooth icon located in your taskbar, and it should launch the "Initial Bluetooth Configuration Wizard." Click "Next" on the first screen. Next, type in the name of your computer and select your computer type from the drop-down menu, then click "Next." Click "Skip" on the onscreen prompts, then finish. Pairing the Devices Turn on your external Bluetooth device. Double-click "My Bluetooth Places." Select "Find Bluetooth Devices." The name your Bluetooth device should display in the next window. Right click the icon for your Bluetooth device, and scroll down to "Pair Device." Enter the Bluetooth pin code for your external device in the "Bluetooth Pin Code Request" pop-up window. Then click "OK." The default pin code is normally "0000" or "12345." You can find your pin code in your user manual. If you are pairing a cell phone to your PC, you will have to enter the same pin code on your cell phone to establish the Bluetooth connection.

When I try to boot my laptop Toshiba Satellite M45 the screen just shows Toshiba for a few seconds and then it goes black.

If it does it when AC power is connected then you need to have it serviced.
If it only does it when on battery replace the battery.

Good luck!

Were you trying to connect your printer to your PC using bluetooth?
First, turn on the bluetooth device on your computer. Its icon will appear on the system tray.
Then right click the bluetooth icon. A selection box will pop-up, select add a Device. Your computer will automatically search for any bluetooth enabled device. If your printer's bluetooth is active, it will be found.

This is usually to to the graphics chip not being properly soldered to the circuit board - the chip is probably what is known as a ball-grid array and these are notorious for this problem.
If this is the case then you really cannot fix it and it will need a new mainboard.
If it is a loose connection to the screen then you may have a dodgy graphics cable which leads from the mainboard to the TFT display panel. Sometimes it may be that the connector on the mainboard is loose. If this is the case then it may be worth trying to take it apart (if out of warranty) and check that the multi-wire plug leading to the screen is firmly seated into the connector.
However, taking apart a notebook is quite tricky!
