When I plug in my 55,000 BTU mode, it does not ignite. It runs for a few seconds and shuts off.

MY 50,000 REDDY HEATER is full of kerosene and i replaced the spark plug and can see that it is getting plenty of spark but not igniting.

Not getting fuel will not ignite

Clean or replace filters, check your rotor for damage (replace). The manufacturer website offers a service manual that should be able to assist you. www.desatech.com I hope this helps you!

yep.plug the unit in and look in the back of unit.should see an orange glow.if you don't the glow bar is not comming on

Ours did that too one year. Seems to me we changed the spark plug, it had spark but too weak I think.

Can you see a spark from the piezo starter? Also you have to hold the start valve until the temp gets up. Also make sure that the spark is jumping across the gas orifice. You can get parts at www.reddyheater.com They also have tips on how to troubleshoot you're unit. Let me know if you need more help.

First thing I would do is clean all of your air and fuel filters and check your lines for breaks. A lot of times they will do that if your not getting enough air to fuel mix. If it continues after that it's the CAD/ flame sensor which you can get from MR. Heater for 3 bucks they are all basically the same and I know reddy heater wants 18 for the same thing.
