Camera causes windows to crash

I just got a new digital camera today but whenever I set it to PC mode it gives me the blue screen. It's the Technika SH-A366, so no drivers to download and the manual is no help either. Basically, to get pictures off the camera you plug it into your PC via USB cable then switch the camera on to automatically bring up the USB mode screen on the camera. It gives you 3 options; PC; PictBridge (for printers) and webcam but no matter which one I select it causes Windows to give me the blue screen pretty much instantly. If I so much as leave the camera plugged into the PC after resetting it, it'll go straight to the blue screen unless I unplug it and reset again. I've uninstalled everything to do with the camera, but still nothing seems to work. I'm a fairly computer literate person but I've never seen anything like it, so I figured I'd ask the experts!
