Hi transfer them back to your pc, use the software that you used originally to transfer the music, and you need to select in the settings and there will be somewhere that you click to Find all info or update info, It might get very long winded. without knowing which software you are using i can't help further.

Regards - Anthony

Hi, please no capitals,I know it's frustrating.
Do you mean that all the tunes are as one long file, so you can't pick individual songs?

What do you mean by, " you can't transfer something that isn't there"?
how did you install the music in the first place?
    What software did you use?

I'm going to help you and I will get to the bottom of this, but I need clarification.

    Regards - Anthony

ITunes has lost tracks

Make sure, on the iPad, you have show all music turned on. Maybe you only are seeing the music that is actually on the iPad as opposed to seeing the entire collection. '

Go to Settings > Music and make sure Show All Music is turned on.

That is my two cents. I hope this helped! If not, please let me know. Thanks.

Delete Duplicates Songs on iTunes, Repair Music Info on Mac

If your iTunes application on Mac have updated to Version 11+, you can use the method Apple supported to show all duplicate items in your iTunes library. From the menu at the top of your computer screen, choose View > Show Duplicate Items. And then manually delete unwanted ones. Or if you are a Windows user, Hold down the Control and B keys on your keyboard to open the iTunes menu bar. Choose View > Show Duplicate Items.

Matches are based on the song name and artist. If you have multiple versions of the same song (for example, live and studio versions, or versions from different albums), hold the Alt or Option key (Mac) or the Shift key (Windows) and choose View > Show Exact Duplicate Items. This will show only the duplicate songs that have the same name, artist, and album. The information in the other columns, such as Time, Release Date, or Genre, can also help you determine which item to keep and which to remove. For example, the Plays column shows which version of the song you've listened to more.

How can I upload album art onto a philips gogear vibe for all my artists? I have album art inside my folders and i had itunes embed the art into the files when i uploaded them; however the art only shows...

There are 3 possible ways in getting the album art for your music album.
  1. Album art may be obtained from the online Music CD database that Windows Media Player uses.
Note: Not all music albums have album art available in the online CD database.
  2. From the online music store where you purchased your songs or albums, the album art may be downloaded along with your purchase.
  3. You may also create your own album art by transferring your favorite jpg photo into the selected album folder and rename it to Album Art.jpg.
To download album art from the online database and transfer to the player.
  1. Make sure that your computer is connected to the Internet.
  2. Launch Windows Media Player.
  3. Go to Tools> Options> Player.
  4. Make sure the "Enable picture support for devices" check box is selected.
  5. Click the Apply, then the OK buttons.
  6. Select the "RIP" tab on the task menu bar.
  7. Insert your music CD into the CD drive of your computer. The Windows Media Player will take a few seconds to show the content of the CD on the display.
  8. Click "Find Album Info". The Player accesses the database hosted by WindowsMedia.com and displays information about the album in the Album Information pane. The album art will be shown if available.(Note: For some music CD, album art may not be found in any of the online database.)
  9. Click Finish to update all the information about your album and show it in the Rip pane.
  10. Connect your Device to the computer.
  11. Select the tracks that you would like to rip by clicking in the check b ox next to the track.
  12. Click the Rip music button to start ripping the music CD.
  13. Once the tracks are finished being ripped to the library, go to the Media library and select the songs that you have just ripped.
  14. Add them to the sync list and transfer them into your Device. The album art will be transferred along with those selected songs.
  15. Disconnect the Device from your computer.
  16. Make sure that the option in your Device has been selected to display the album art on the device, at Settings-> Album art.

To create your own album art and transfer it to the Device
  1. In Windows Media Player , right click on the song you want to update the album art of.
  2. Select "Advanced Tag Editor" option.
  3. In the screen that pops up , select the "Pictures" tab.
  4. Use the drop down list to make sure that the type of picture you add is the Cover (front).
  5. Click on "Add" to associate a picture as the Album art for the song and all the songs in that album.
  6. Add this (and other songs from the same album) to the sync list and transfer them into your Device. The album art will be transferred along with those selected songs.
  7. Disconnect the Device from your computer.
  8. Make sure that the option in your Device has been selected to display the album art on the device, at Settings-> Album art.
You can also click on this link to show the graphical steps on how to upload/add album art on your songs.

Hope this information helps. If it does, please do not forget to give me a rating and a comment.

I have a Coby MP620-8G mp3 player. For some reason, I've been getting a whole bunch (at least 15 albums) of my artists thrown into the Unknown Artist category, making it difficult to find songs. In my...

I just had this problem as well. Find one of the files that is showing up on the MP3 player as "Unknown Artist" in your iTunes library. Right click that song/file and click "Get Info". You'll most likely find that the song is an "ACC Audio File" which happens often when you copy CDs or download from the iTunes Store. Close the info window about the song and then you can select the entire album or individual songs from your iTunes playlist that are showing up as "Unknown Artist". Once all the songs that you need are selected, right click again and select "Create MP3 Version". This will create a duplicate, however, so you'll want to go back to the main library in iTunes (or stay there if you are already there) and then remove the original "ACC" versions. You can, if you'd like, keep them on your hard drive, but you really don't need them because MP3 is the standard. From here you can remove those files from the Coby MP3 player and replace them with the new MP3 versions you have created in iTunes.
I hope this helps!

EZ Audio Converter does not export files to iTunes

I've had exactly the same problem, and so far no resolution from Ion. A small bit of good news: the .wav files are on the hard drive, although without any track info. At least on Vista, they are in username/AppData/Local/Temp. The files are name Temp0, Temp1, Temp 2, ...

You can use iTunes to add these files (File/add file) and then convert them to .mp3s, or whatever format you prefer. Or you could convert them first using the tool of your choice, such as Audiograbber.

This is inconvenient, but a lot better than re-ripping the vinyl after EZVinyl hangs.

Unable to Edit Files.

Open Windows Media Player 11
Right click on one of the songs that is showing up as unknown artist.
Select "Advanced Tag Editor"
Manually enter the artist information, etc.

To save time, you could also right click the song and select "Find Album" info - it won't find every album, but it will find most of them.

The real bear is that once you have edited the information in Windows Media Player, you have to delete the affected song off of your mp3 player and THEN reload the newly-edited song - or else your changes won't register on the mp3 player itself.

Music ripped from CD to put on ipod

You have to have your computer hooked up to an active internet connection for iTunes to be able to check the track names and info. You can manually tell it to look up info on tracks you've already imported. Use the "Get CD Tracks" menu option under the Advanced menu item.
