Since this is a desktop PC that has Windows 7 OS, there might be a possibility that the issue is on your wireless adapter. As we all know, desktop PC's has no built in wireless card on them, so you need to install a wireless USB adapter on your PC. Of course, 3rd party wireless USB adapters has their own wireless utility to manage the wireless connection and that is where you need to put in the infos about your wireless connection. You didn't mention if on the 2nd part, is it asking you to re-type your wireless passphrase or is it asking you for a WPS pin.
Connect a LAN cable from the D-Link to your laptop/computer'sLAN port, open the browser on your laptop/computer and enter the D-Link'sconfiguration URL.. http://192.168.0.1 The default login = admin The default PW = blank (just press Enter)
You can now change the default password. You can now configure the wireless settings.
Now configure the wireless card in your computer/laptop withthe router's wireless settings.

The router's password is a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA orWPA2 encryption key.
The Passphrase generates the WEP or WPA or WPA2 encryptionkey and this is in the router's wireless settings.
To connect to your wireless router, it needs the router'swireless settings configured ie SSID, WPA or WPA2 encryption key and also thewireless cards in all the wireless printer, or laptops or computers needs to be configured withthese router's wireless settings. Then the wireless printer, laptops and desktop computers cancommunicate with your wireless router.
You don't really need the CD to install the router. This link will take you to the DLink support page for your router. If you have lost your user manual, click on the link for "Product Manual" and download it to your computer, then unzip the compressed file to read the PDF manual. It will explain to you how to use your web browser (IE or Firefox or whatever your use) to set up your router.
Download new firmware. Here's the link. Worked for me. http://www.downloadatoz.com/driver/item_dlink-dir-628-dual-band-router-firmware-1-20b08-beta.html
Yes IPOD touch will definitely work with a Wireless N router, since all wireless devices now like IPOD are made to work with the latest wireless technology out in the market.
There may be different reasons why your wireless network is not working properly, let me ask you few questions in order to narrow down the problem.
Is your D-Link DIR-635 brand new therefore we are talking about a new installation?
Are you able to connect via wireless your two laptops in other locations?
Could it be that the wireless has not been enabled yet in your router settings? To check this you will have to log on to your router by typing 192.168.0.1 in the address bar of Internet Explorer then select Admin as Username and leave the password field blank. Go to the Wireless Settings and Setup tab in order to enable the "radio" signal.
Could it be that an SSID has not been assigned yet to your wireless network?
