There is a problem with your battery. This line of phones has the defect and your cell phone provider can't even fix it. I would suggest you buy a new phone.
You earpiece speaker is faulty and needs a change, remove and use a multimeter to check the continuity int he Ohms range, if there is no response change the speaker. If speaker is working check the connection to the circuit as a faulty output can also cause the issue.
You will have to replace the speaker of the phone. It is quite technical to fix, so i will advice you seek assistance from a friend that will be able to assist you on this job. For the main time, i will advice you use an external earpiece that you will connect to the earpiece port, that way you will be able to make calls and listen properly before you fix the speaker of the phone.

The phone will show that "line in use" message when it's not connected correctly.
If your two phone lines come in to one jack, make sure you are using a 4-wire line cord connected to the "line 1 and line 2" jack on the phone. You may be using a 2-wire cord so the second line isn't reaching the phone.
If the two lines are on separate jacks you need to connect line 2 to the separate "line 2" jack.
If you know for a fact that both lines are properly connected to the phone and it still doesn't see the second line, then it's time for a new phone.
